So cool! I did the exact same thing as a travel NP! So worth it 🙌🏼
Amazing!!👏🏼 it truly is
I was a NP before and saved some but not enough since I applied on a whim. Ended up selling my soul to the military...again. I am in CRNA school now and still work on the side. I couldn't go back to bedside as a travel RN, once you become a provider its hard to switch back,
I learnt that military offers crna school if you are willing to work with them for 5 years, pls can you tell me the pros and cons,I will appreciate that thanks
Thank you for sharing ❤ It's interesting. Glad you were able to do travel nursing, then was able to go to CRNA school 💖
Of course! & yes, i am very grateful for that🤍
Man it must be scary going from making like 3-7k a week to nothing in CRNA school. Well worth it to invest in yourself though!! Good job :) I'm contemplating doing travel nursing and retiring early versus going to CRNA school. Another factor to consider would probably be job security in terms of still being able to find high-paying contracts in the future. Can you make a video comparing travel nursing to CRNA while focusing more on what would be more monetarily beneficial? I know money shouldn't be the main concern but I'm really just trying to provide for my family and do what will make us financially secure. You are also missing out on 3 years of income and opportunity cost for investment growths etc. (Sorry for the long comment)
Yes, you have very good points!! And I will make a video on it. It’s definitely been a topic people ask about! There are so many factors that play into choosing what’s best for you and your family.
Awesome tip on the I bonds! Nice video 😄
Thank you so much!!🤍
Great job saving and best of luck in CRNA school! Tuition goes up about 8% per year (😢), so having that money continue to grow will help a lot.
Thanks so much Zach! Yeah, gotta be smart with your money for sure
Saving a 100k wow. That's amazing 👏
I also plan on travel nursing and saving $100k to pay it all off.
Glad to hear it! 🥰🤍
Hello may I ask what school you got accepted to ?
Thank you for sharing. How many years have you been working as RN?
You’re welcome! I’ve been a nurse for 3 years now🤍
There is one more reason why and this is rarity. In Northern California I heard is because cali nurses make so much money(150k-300k), to them it is not worth it to go back to school to make about the same especially if people plan on living in California. I know money should not be the main concern, but I want to provide for my family and do what’s best for them. I heard of an rn that made good money and was applying to crna school, but he decided to stick with his high paying nursing job because of his family situation and it would not be worth it to him.
The beauty of nursing is that you can pick which path to choose. What you’re willing to sacrifice and what work you want to do. I could just stay here in California as an ICU nurse but I don’t want to stay as a bedside nurse forever. 3 years of school is worth it to me knowing I’ll enjoy my job more after and have a higher salary as a bonus also.
You know whats great about doing traveling? The money you make open many career paths if you end up not liking the nursing role. I'm talking about investing into stocks and crypto and or your own business. I am not a nurse and never made anywhere near nurses pay but I put in alot overtime and invest. I am 5 years away from retirement and I'm only in my 30s. I love life and I refuse to trade money over happiness and traveling and family time.
Omg you are amazing haha
🥺🫶🏼😘
hi! were you able to have financial help from your parents?
Hi Josh! For nursing school yes. But for CRNA school, I saved that money by working travel contracts. I also moved back home to save money on rent while in CRNA school! Many people in my program did the same.
How long were you a staff nurse before traveling?
1.5-2 years!
What of if I join the military, can they offer to pay my crna fees
I know there is a program that offers it! Would be good to look into if you’re interested in the military
How long did it take you to save this much?
I started spring of 2020! So about 2 years of travel nursing
Hi! Can you travel as a CRNA?
Hi Sasha! Yes, you can.
@@SRNAPaul Thank you
