- An awesome day spent in the park fishing for cutthroat trout on the fly. We visited a river and a lake, involving two completely different types of fishing. Our first stop consisted of dry flies for rising trout, and next we sight fished for cruisers in clear water. Music by the Black Twig Pickers and Ryan Little

Dude the lake always fishes tooooouuugh. Last time I was up there I got skunked and swore I’d never make the steep hike again unless it was to watch the otters fish the inlet in spring.
No kidding! I don't blame ya. Those big cutts spawning at the inlet were pretty cool to watch. Definitely a great spot for an otter to snag a meal!

Wet wading for the win! Just got back from Rock creek, people acted like they never saw a wet wader before
I think people just assume you're supposed to wear waders while fly fishing haha so uncomfortable in the summer
I agree, I was up on soda butte last summer with my brother and we were wet wading and other fishermen just seemed confused.
