@@pabloward2 you are very welcome. My biggest suggestion when repairing any furniture is to use hide glue. I have another video that talks about which glued to use. You may find it helpful.

What a great video, thank you, your methods and shop are very similar to mine here in the UK, those glue ups can be stressful and of course one can never have too many clamps! I often apply some heat (with a soldering iron) to difficult screws, which usually helps, thanks again, have subscribed, keep 'em coming and stay lucky

Thank you Paul. I appreciate the feedback.
Applying heat is an old boat builders trick, which I tried with a soldering gun. No luck - they were stubborn. Luckily I was able to work around the ones that wouldn’t come out.
      Thanks for the Sub.

Hallo A.G.J. & S. , ein sehr interessante Technik für die Reparatur von Stuhlbeinen . Es wäre auch schade um solche schönen Stühle. Ich wünsche noch einen schönen Sonntag und eine schöne neue Woche viele Grüße Christel 👍☺️

I went dumpster diving at a house that was built in 1853. I pulled out a chair no arms and the caning was missing. After inspecting the wood I noticed there was a rung missing. Where would I go to have a duplicate made of the same missing part? Obviously it have to be a woodworking shop that had a lathe so they could make me a new one. I live in Connecticut around Hartford Thank you

I can offer two suggestions. VanDyke Restoration has a huge selection of chair parts. Another option is to watch FB Marketplace or Craigslist for similar chairs. I have a customer who had a chair with missing spindles. With found a similar chair on the Marketplace with identical spindles. She bought the Marketplace chair and I used it for parts to repair her chair.

There are a couple of videos on my channel that walkthrough disassembling a chair.
Hopefully, the prior repairs used hide glue. If so, water or vinegar will soften the hide glue. If it was carpenters glue (PVA) you can try softening it with a heat gun and use spreader clamps reversed to disassemble.
If you have trouble and need guidance my contact info is on the channel about page.
