    A few more Serbs can probably turn a good city into a great one, just keep the Californians out and we'll be on the right road 👍

    Umm I'm not sure about those figures, average rent is way above 500 in 90% of the towns she mentioned the rent medium is more around 700 a week these days..

      I escaped Auckland 34 years ago, never regretted the move. I actually do agree with you. The only advantage I see for Auckland, is more choice for work. Everything else is worse compared to almost anywhere else in NZ.

Akl is too jammed pack with small houses to close to each other now with too many cars on the road crowding everything it's worse. I'm glad we finally made the move out of there raising our kids in a normal place now..

    Hey there hello that was a great quick rundown on places with good employment/living cost ratios.. And yeah your English is pretty good too well done!
    Christchurch is definitely the best value major city at the moment & many people are moving here from Auckland & Wellington because of that. Alot of it has to do with the fact Christchurch is building housing at a faster rate than anywhere else. Not just meeting Earthquake replacement but for the recently moved too. So the wages & living costs works out vs other cities.
    We don't have exactly the best nightlife lol, & certainly not the latest either like we actually used to have the latest nightlife in NZ before the 2011 Earthquakes (I used to go out till 7am back then). But there's still a good & vibrant music scene, especially for electronic music & Reggae Soundsystem culture.. And there's alot of good cafes for the size too..
    But what makes Christchurch great is the Hills. So much mountain biking just on the back doorstep, even a chairlift access bike park you can drop in for free if you get yourself to the top of the trails. Or go roadbiking up the hills & around the summit if you're more a roadbiker (As I have been while I recover from a MTB injury haha).. If you like your biking Christchurch is a good place to be.. :)
    Was expecting Nelson & Blenheim to be in this list too, maybe they don't check out as value, given how many boomer retirees there are to put up the price?

    It is not all about the rent....New Zealand is very expensive overall, the govt is over bearing & our skilled are leaving in droves (esp medical). The govt has incited race wars & is attemping to divide the nation for blackr@ck to take over. It really is not glossy here, poverty is rife, generational unemployment & the crime it brings, is everywhere many businesses have closed due to virus & lack or real govt help as they (govt) want a two tier society, our military are under resourced & our rights as people are heavily reduced. Our govt is socialist & quickly heading towards communism.
    Thank you for using english place names.

    • @akcjaemigracja
      @akcjaemigracja Год назад +1

      You clearly do not know the definition of communism! If they would head that way this country would be actually affordable to live! Trust me! This is the most capitalistic country I have ever lived in! People really need to check their information before they start throwing all those vocabulary! P.S. No, I am nor communist. No, I do not like the current NZ government either.
