Mike and Louis made an amazing unintentional team here. Mike was able to express to Donna how it feels to get the person you want, and Louis showed her what it looks like when you miss the chance. Add in Donna's face as it dawns on her someone else might catch Harvey's eye first and the scene is just perfect.
When she reeled back after what Louis said to her, then kissed Harvey, the scene literally reduced me to tears. I am late to the show, in the middle of it right now. The show is excellent in every possible way. I am emotionally attached to these people! Wonder if they all knew the magic they were creating when it all started. Thank you creators, writers, actors and everyone else.
Wish I could put myself through a time machine to a point where I never knew suits so that I could rewatch it without knowing what happens. such an amazing show.❤️

After Mike left, I stopped watching. I just saw the three episodes he appeared in in the last season. Without Mike and Harvey’s relationship I just felt it missed something.
Rick Hoffman was sensational here. The dialogue from louis has such a deep rooted meaning for Donna's context that it pushes her to go for it. Mike truly knew deep down that harvey and donna would let their ego's clash but rather not admit their feelings for one another. He just provides the right impetus and louis scores the home run.

Depends on the mistake and how big the fall out is. If you take a risk on someone or something that ends up gutting you and devastating your life irreparably, it would have been better to regret not taking the risk and never knowing how bad of a mistake it would have been.
I thought that the kiss would be like a cold shower for Harvey, a hammer in head that would wake him up to see his feelings for Donna. But it had the opposite effect.

I feel like there was a lot of intimacy between Donna and Harvey. Like before Harvey even realized he was closed off to everyone else but he couldn’t hide from Donna even if he wanted too. In a real world a therapist isn’t supposed to date a former client. If anything it seems like manipulation.. like their connection wasn’t real he only told her things because of her job lol so it’s weird I didn’t get to this episode yet but just seeing this is actually a plot twist. I do think 12 years is a long time to keep someone around however in between those times they both tried dealing with other people so it wasn’t like Donna was just waiting. She had her fun and so did he.

He sort of deflates in the very last second like he realizes something that’s knocked the wind out of him. Not sure if he realized Donna had feelings, or that he missed his shot, or what though lol
I just started season 8 and I’m already afraid of the same thing. I’ll never get into another show the same way as Suits. And I LOVED Succession and Billions (first half) but as into those shows as I was (and I WAS!)….they didn’t grip my soul anything like this one. It’s actually alarming how much it’s impacting me! 😅
Somewhere down the line Donna did play a factor in messing up Harvey's relationships. Even though I'm happy they ended up together , but Scottie was the real deal, and she had to suffer needlessly.

The only relationship that ended naturally was with Zoe. Donna was definitely in the wrong tho but he kinda always knew that donna was surpressing her feelings for him. None of the relationships ended because of Donna, they ended because of Harvey lying

Donna gets bombarded by Rachel, Mike, Louis and Alex in quick succession. She had to kiss Harvey and I don't think it was selfish of her. Most people would do it.
It was not premeditated, i don't think she even knew she was going to do that. She should be given a break since she always supported Harvey and his relationships notwithstanding whatever feelings she may have had for him.

Besides, Donna knows no other woman will ever understand Harvey. Scottie competed with Harvey, Paula was too insecure. It's Donna who Harvey was meant to end up with and she knew it. By kissing him, perhaps, she allowed that path to get laid in front of him. Donna actually took charge of their romance. If she had left it up to Harvey, he would have never realised and kept on treating her like her confidante/buddy/friend and been in eternal pursuit of love elsewhere.

This was a really great scene from Mikes advice, then Luis hitting Donna with the reality with the love of your life moving on. My only issue is Donna knows how Harvey feels about infidelity. Even if it was just a kiss she knows he doesn’t get down like that. He may have sleep with different women but he does not believe in cheating. Donna should’ve known better but overall this was a 10/10 sequence of scenes💯
