I totally agree with you Jesse. For the past 5 years I've been doing residential and it's definitely annoying dealing with clients emotional tendencies about the smallest issues. Definitely looking to Pivot to commercial.
Glad to know you started out like most of us. Residential has its pro’s & con’s. Residential - In and out, quick money but requires a new project to quickly pay next months bills. Price it out incorrectly, you might find another project to save yourself (Let’s rob Peter to pay Paul, MAYBE 😂). Commercial - Potentially larger profits but may need to stay much longer on the project (1-2 years or more). Price it out incorrectly and feel the pain in which you might not recover. But when it’s all said and done, we’re so fortunate to be a part of the American dream…🇺🇸
Very informative channel. I recently found your channel from the video you did on the builder license information video from a few years ago. I'm a commercial coating contractor located about a hour from Jax's. I'm in the beginning stages of prepping for my builders license.
Great video @Jesse Lane ! Lots of joy and pain on both sides of the house. Like you said, gotta find the avenue that fulfills you. Be well, be blessed Brother.
Yeah totally agree with you. I've done a couple of commercial interior renovation stores. Nothing compared with that, residential is a pain i* t** a**.
Just bought the estimate and proposal templates for my new business. I don’t even have a name yet for the company, I’m focusing on getting systems in place.
Hello sir I’m 20 I want to become a general contractor but I really don’t know where to start. I have a small business and I live in Georgia. Could you please help me
Commercial is boring imo. Industrial is fun as hell but you have to be baller to get into that. Resi would be alright if you aren’t a production builder

We’re almost 20 years in the business. I’m forced to make a change and must do so QUICKLY. My family deserves more.

Industrial? Never considered it. Definitely a different league.
