I did the same and bought the 8 monitors thinking it was for a dual axle van. I also recalibrated the designated spare tyre ones to the van axles. I already originally had four on the van but they could only be read inside the van which was useless on the road so I put them on my spares. So far the iTech works well after the first week of using them.
@@ryanturner9457 The information is in the instruction booklet - I've attempted to do this for our van now I have one but it's not recalibrating correctly for some reason, it will only partially calibrate and shows some of the van wheels as spares on the car and van instead of their actually position. I will have to try again! You can call them directly and they are very helpful, well from my experience anyway.
Great video as usual, just one quick question my cruiser is set up very similar to yours & what I’m wondering is how is your rear axle weight?, because mine is overweight when van is hooked up. Towball weight just pushes it over.
@@peterchown1552 I have to take all tools and the fridge and move to the van when towing and Im still over by 50! GVM upgrade is happening - getting the Lovells 4.2t which give Plenty of increase to have the van and stuff on the roof. No avoiding it that I can see.
If the Wildtrak has the option of adding additional sensors from Ford for a Caravan I would probably go inbuilt system if it works well. Apparently the icheck system can be used on cars with their own system - you would have to disable the car one I'd imagine if the sensors are on the value. The iCheck head unit also has the ability to receive signals for wheel bearing sensors (purchased seperately) and to show your spare wheel inflation and temperatures. Does the Wildtrak also show tyre temps? All of these things are factors for thought. Good luck. I'd be interested to know if ford provide the caravan sensors to add into their system.
