    The body shop that left the car in this state should close its doors...... Another porsche rescued, incredible as always Jim 👍

  • @samgab
    @samgab 4 года назад +99

    That end result is astonishing, like a mirror! Amazing job. My suggestion would be: Don’t even offer a “Minor Correction” option. You’re just not capable of leaving a car in a less than nearly perfect state. Just offer the White Detail or new car prep, only. That will stop people taking the piss like this, asking for a minor detail on something in this state, knowing you’re still going to do a close to perfect job...

    • @edweston9201
      @edweston9201 4 года назад +9

      I think that’s a tricky one, offer less options and turn away a lot of customers. I think it’s Jim’s problem to solve, maybe with more of a pre inspection of each car to access the minimum time it’s going to take. Still amazing video and if he’s not bored of Boxsters already maybe he can sort mine out someday. :D

    • @joebloggs4191
      @joebloggs4191 4 года назад +5

      Some cars genuinely only need a minor correction for which the option should still exist but when looking at a job like this he could just refuse to do the minor when it is blatantly obvious that it's need a major correction and minor wouldn't achieve much.

    • @tonypammen6150
      @tonypammen6150 4 года назад +4

      That definitely wasn’t a minor correction, I hope you charged more for this Jim, the customer must have known what a state it was in .
      A brilliant job as always though.

      Problem is, of heard that correctly, he took this job „blind“, which is unusual, but we don’t know the background-story for that. Anyways, the result is stunning, and i am sure Jim was in contact with the owner shortly After Paint Inspection.

    Jim, if it was me I give a price it would take to get the car "to my standard" when giving a quote, take it or leave it! People will take the piss knowing that it will be given a better job than a minor correction when that's all they paying for- no minor correction, no major correction, Jim's correction, which will be of the highest standard. Keep up the good work fella 👍🏻

That was never in a month of Sundays a minor correction and the body shops that have worked on the vehicle should be so ashamed of their work. I hope the customer knows just how much work you put into getting it into such a lovely condition and paid you the extra and didn't take advantage. As ever you truly knocked it out of the park with the work and effort you put in on this very sad paint job. Hello Jim, just want to let you know that a combo of years watching your channel and recent ones by USA boat detailers, have equipped me with some knowledge enough to have a proper go at restoring with polishing a not massive old boat of mine. I know your not boats but the kit and process for several pass cutting, correction and reflection refinement is similar.
    I am now in huge respect for your craft and even the shear mental strength thats needed to cover pass after pass. This thing you do so well and make look simple is far from easy. The physical strength and stamina to control a rotary wool pad then a da polisher and be so consistent has surprised me. I ache in every part of my fingers arms shoulders even my gluts are lactic acid city.
    Massive respect to all detailers who graft so hard so their customers can enjoy happy reflections!
    Cheers and you have all my respect sir.
