    This video really shows what potential a nano cube can have. My first aquarium was a 30L Dennerle Cube. I don't have it set up anymore because I didn't keep up with the maintainance, but one day I will make it as beautiful as yours. Thanks for the great inspiration!

    Just found some great inspiration for my Dennerle nano cube, also 10 liters. Was giving up already because its so hard to keep it so healthy! First thing I need and external filter, currently using the internal one it came with...

    • @MJAquascaping
      @MJAquascaping  3 года назад +2

      Yeah with only 10 liters you really need to carefully use every bit of space. I have a 10 liter cube as well and i find the small hang on the back filters perfect for them.

    Very tastefully executed as usual. Seeing you take that already beautiful tank apart almost made me ill lol but it also gives me the courage to not fear dismantling any project I create. I am wondering however if you could have or would have used a uv sterilizer for the algae problem or was the setup too small. I ask as I have a 75 gallon dirtied tank non co2 at the 2 months old mark and had on outbreak of green water algae. I used a sterilizer and in 6 days it is crystal clear. Love the detail and time lapse of this video. Thanks Mark

    • @MJAquascaping
      @MJAquascaping  3 года назад

      I probably could have used a UV yeah, and maybe I should have. But I was hopeful though that I could eliminate it without a sterilizer. 😊

    Another great video! Love all the growth! It feels like my tank is taking forever to grow out also! Been going since least February and still not grown out to how I want it. Non co2 though! You’ve helped me appreciate and like nano tanks even more! I have a 9 gallon fluval flex and I’m thinking about what my next nano should be! Keep up the great content!

    • @MJAquascaping

    Awesome video, quick question, once the algae resolved did you go back to liquid ferts? Having an algae issue myself and considering stopping them until it gets under control. Thanks!

    • @MJAquascaping
      @MJAquascaping  3 года назад

      Hey Jonathan! I did go back to liquid ferts, but always very little. If the plants are growing and I don’t see any deficiencies I will not dose much. I’d rather ad more nutrients to the substrate so I can have less nutrients in the water column.

    • @MJAquascaping
      @MJAquascaping  3 года назад

      Hey! Just tap water. Not sure exactly, but not surprised if it was a whole month. The plants actually flourished, because they stopped getting covered with algae and could still get plenty nutrients from the substrate.

    Hey bud! Love your tanks they are beautiful! I noticed you had a different light on tank after change. Was that for filming or to battle algae ? Also noticed light was higher up as well? Just wondering if that was a big reason for the battle? Cheers!

    • @MJAquascaping

      @berndtwiest4571 3 года назад +1

      @@MJAquascaping oké, ik blijf plantenvoeding en dosering een lastig onderwerp vinden. Misschien kun je daar eens een video overmaken? Ik gebruik sinds enkele weken Masterline golden, een all in one. Ik heb weinig vis, dus sowieso een nitraat en fosfaat gebrek. Afgelopen jaren veel commerciële voedingen getest. Geen één voldeed zoals het werd aangeprezen, dus geen meetbare fosfaat, nitraat en fe.
