KONG - A Mysterious Low-Tech Nano Jungle | Aquascape Tutorial for Beginners

- [Werbevideo] Inspired by the KING KONG movies - here is my ultimate DIY mysterious Low-Tech NANO JUNGLE tank aquascaping tutorial. It’s not a simple but a low tech aquascape. Because of the slow growing bucephalandra and riccardia chamedryfolia moss, it is a easy to maintain aquascape. With this step by step aquascaping tutorial you can build your own KONG jungle nano tank. I used a Dennerle Nano Cube with 30x30x35cm and 30 liter.
For the first weeks i added some fast growing hornworth and limnobium laevigatum. This is to fight against algae and they add more air to the water. I used a LED light with only 500 lumen at the beginning. After 4 weeks i changed it in an 1.200 lumen LED.
In the first week of the start it’s better to change 50% twice a week. And don't use fertilizer for the first 4 weeks! Otherwise you will have a massive algae boost. After 14 days you can add some snails and shrimps. They will also help to fight against the algae. You can see the final result after 72 days!
AQUARIUM:
Dennerle Nano Cube 30L (30x30x35cm)
Fluval Nano Plant LED 15W (1.200 Lumen)
DIY Bio CO2
USED PLANTS:
🌿Anubias barteri var. nana 'Petite' (midground plant)
🌿Bucephalandra "mini" blue (attached to the walls)
🌿Bucephalandra amanda (Attached to the walls)
🌿Pogostemon erectus (great green background plant)
🌿Riccardia chamedryfolia (moss on the walls)
🌿Marsilea hirsuta (foreground plant)

Feel free to ask if you have any questions- I will try to answer them all!
How much did it cost?
it looks fantastic! my one question is- why a 70% water change every week? that seems like a lot (but surely you have a reason).
@@olyvia1380 because of the Soil Peaks in the first weeks. This is dangerous for animals and can prevent algae
@@PlantedTank makes sense! so do you lessen the amount or frequency of water changes after the ammonia levels stabilize at 0?
@@olyvia1380 sir what is this black type gum called and is it available in amazon?
I’m a serious saltwater guy, but this has inspired me to build a freshwater planted tank in the near future. Absolutely amazing work!!
Thank you!
Same here. I'm on my 2nd planted tank because of this guy lol. I've mean salt for over 20 years. Never fresh and more and more I'm finding the planted fresh is more fun as I can express art more. And not to mention way less stressful than dealing with random coral death and issues that are never explainable.
@@dude60415 as a freshwater person, it’s already devastating when the new 19 dollar red plant I put in my tank dies inexplicably, lol. Staying fresh for the foreseeable future, hope you’re still enjoying your tanks!
@@kirani111 Yes I am. Definitely enjoying them. Coral will be the new bitcoin lol. I haven't melted any plants yet but I know where your coming from. I've watched 200 frags dissappear over night for no reason at all. Or no reason that can be found without me getting in under the microscope. And even then you couldn't have stopped the death anyway.
Feeling this same way about a saltwater setup these days lol
Interesting technique rule of thirds.
I've personally have used the ancient method of where she drops she stays technique for many years 😳
That technic is of course more natural 😅
@@PlantedTank 😅🤣
This man: makes a beautiful aquascape that is amazing and should be super famous
Me: *kills my own artificial plants*
A closed terrarium is better for you. None to little maintenance required.

This is my first time on this channel and I saw this your first video. All I wanna say. Your work is amazing...... I can't describe in words.
Thank you Zain 🙌🏽
Tolles Video und sehr gut gemacht, mach weiter so. LG
Danke dir 😊
what you used to glue those driftwoods to the glass?
what type of mixture is that and where to get it?
That expanding foam is cheap, but having it shipped to Australia is expensive. As far as I'm aware, it doesn't exist here.
For one I did, I ended up having to use a soldering iron and manually burn polystyrene to make backgrounds, then paint it with pond paint. So ridiculous
aquascaping in Australia is definitely a challenge
wow mate!! How do you shoot so stable with just hands??!
I move in really slow and smooth movements and slow down the video to 50% 🙋🏽♂️
Hello! I found your channel about 20 minutes ago I’ve seen this and guppy creek. Love the channel already keep up the great work!
Thank you mate!
Great shots and attention for details! Loved also the editing, graphics, music..The scape is cool too, we love themed tanks..why do you make 70% water changes? Isn't this dangerous for shrimps?
Thank you! That is a bad communucation from me. The video is shot in the first 72days. Because of the foam, the size of the tank is maybe 20litre. So i had to do a lot of waterchanges to prevent high nitrit peaks. After 90 days i only did 30 to 50% waterchanges.
