Such an amazing song and performance. My current favorite of all their songs!

This is a fantastic latter-day TFF song... so Beatles-esque. Roland's yells at the end are great.

This is not one of my favorites, but I'm always in favor of reactors doing Tears for Fears, especially the lesser known songs.
Roland Orzabal is a phenomenal composer and lyricist. If you liked "Elemental" check out "Cold" from the same album. Curt Smith is a masterful bassist. Check out a live version of "Pale Shelter" for a demonstration.
Not all of their songs sound so Beatles-esque. This Everybody Loves a Happy Ending album and the Sewing the Seeds of Love album are very reminiscent of The Beatles.
Some TFF history for you. They are from Bath, England. They released a sort of post-punk pop album in the early 80's that I think was a hit in the UK (The Hurting). Their second album (Songs from the Big Chair) was a smash hit in the US. It's truly a phenomenal album from start to finish. For the third album (Sewing the Seeds of Love) in the early 90's they turned to a Beatles sound because it's what they could agree on.
They broke up after that album and Roland Orzabal continued to release albums under the Tears for For Fears name. It was an acrimonious breakup and Curt moved to the US.
Elemental was the first solo album and then Raoul and the Kings of Spain. Some great music there too.
Then in the early 2000's they decided to reunite. Roland agreed to release his next album under his own name (Tomcat's Screaming Outsid). It's again very electronic oriented.
There has been talk of another album for several years. I'm not sure if musical differences is the holdup or personal issues. Roland's wife died 2 years ago so that might have delayed it.
