Raging Waters Los Angeles in San Dimas is the largest water park in California. Located at Puddingstone Dam in San Gabriel Valley (Los Angeles County), it is the flagship water park of Palace Entertainment in California. The park provides a huge variety of water attractions - anchor attractions include the Aqua Rocket water coaster and the High Extreme mat slides. The park is also home to two dueling Speed Slides which are among the most extreme water slides in the US.
Unfortunately, the Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror was closed during our visit. The Bombs Away drop slides were not open yet. I went to this place so much as a kid, multiple times every summer. Awesome staple of my childhood. Love it there

This park looks amazing. Aqua rocket looks like an amazing water coaster and high extreme and speed slides look very intense. Plus they’re building two new drop pod slides in place of the old free fall slides which will add on to the amazing lineup

I went last summer and tunnel of terror was closed I’ll try to ride it this summer lol

High Extreme looks like an absolute blast of a mat racer! I'm guessing they were designed as body slides and have been converted into mat slides due to age? The manufacturer is definitly the same one who made the slides in World Waterpark, and I know how crazy those can be! I hope they keep classic slides like these alive. They're so much more fun than a lot of the new cookie cutter slides out there.
High Extreme is amazing. I think they were mat racers from the beginning though.
it use to be a body slide called vortex. I was just there and a worker told me someone didnt follow the rules and got injured so they changed it to this one, which is still ok. Vortex came out back in the early 90s I think, when I first started going to raging waters.

If you like that go to kalahari pa they have the smoke that thunders too but the drop is bigger and more intense

The best part of neptunes fury is they cant you see you so you jump off the raft and then try to get back on before reaching the bottom

I had a chance to come here while visiting California in 2014 but we passed on it. Maybe we just forgot about it completely because I honestly have no clue why we skipped it. But the Aqua Rocket wasn't open at the time so if it had been, we'd probably regret it even more.
Aqua Rocket is a decent water coaster but it's quite short. The Speed Slides are by far the best rides here.
@@mitchellries256 No, the Bombs Away are just like the ones at Emerald Pointe, they even have the same color scheme. They might be a bit taller tho.

It depends on the time you go there, I recommend to get there as soon as the park opens since later there will be a lot of people

I live in SoCal and was at raging waters on 7/4. The employees were testing out Bombs Away. Was “dropout” closed too when you went? Its the green steep slide?
They removed dropout
Correct. Bombs Away is replacing Dropout.
It was really sad, it was one of the only freefall slides left made by Fred Langford,

Oh ok I didn’t know they removed dropout, no wonder I didn’t see it! I wasn’t going to ride it anyway. I got on Bermuda Triangle and that was enough thrill for me!

Edit: Okay I checked and apparently that scene was filmed in an entirely different state. Oh well... this park still looks pretty awesome!

Hallo from Cali! This is my local park. I go just to marathon High Extreme & Speed Slides. Do u know who manufactured those rides?... FYI: they changed their parking arrangements. If your tix read GENERAL PARKING, u'll be stuck in dirt lot about a mile away from the park, access by tram only, which can screw up your ability to get any rides before lines are massive. Only their exorbitantly priced ($50) PREMIUM PARKING will let you park AT the gate. Until 2022, general parking has been at the gate.
High Extreme and Speed Slides were built by the Surf Coaster company which went out of business. To clarify, premium parking is $40 which still expensive.
