Great video and information!!! Love the ranking and probably will get the A-frame Cabin into my investment list. Also, I am wondering how is the Disney 100th Celebration Brickheadz doing for you because I still have quite abit here in Australia selling very very slow, barely has any demand so far.
Awesome, thanks! Haha, yeah, Disney 100 brickheadz has been a bust so far for me too. Oh well, we won some and we lose some. I think they'll still turn a little ROI, but long hold!
Hey Isak! Sorry I missed this question the first time...I don't know how I didn't see this one! I'm glad you asked again in my most recent vid... I agree with the guys that responded to you, the crease doesn't sound like it will have any significant negative impact. Take care...best of luck!
It’s funny because here in the UK the Sanctum has regularly been on sale for £140 so a 35% discount. Very nice set. Goes great in my Lego street joined to the Police Station (which has Batman on top 😂).
That's awesome you guys are getting great discounts on sanctum. More often then not your deals are not as good as our, so glad you guys beat us on one! Hahaha on your Batman on the police station, so good!!
05:15 yeah it’s not surprising most of the retired helmets aren’t hugely inflated in price like the Stormtrooper and Tie Pilot. Reason being is that people ignored the stormtrooper and tie Pilot on initial release….whereas now the helmet sets are really popular, especially as the basis for MOC building larger builds (I personally have a mega figure built around a boba Fett helmet set, a bust made from a scout trooper helmet and even what I call a bobblehead build made using a helmet set combined with a custom Upscaled minifigure body- a scout trooper again!). So many people now think the helmet sets are guaranteed increases that people are buying them just to resell later. Hence why they aren’t doing as well as the tie Pilot or stormtrooper IMHO.
Outstanding explanation and points... totally agree! But on discount I still like them. They're kinda evergreen sets - normal solid return (hopefully), but won't be a home run. I picked up 19 Cody's at $39 and if Boush goes down to $48 (but hopefully $42) I'll grab 20ish. The MOCs you've made sound awesome, love it! Great comment, thanks!
CVS has a few tiny sets on discount: Minecraft- SwampAdventure:$3.75 Black Wid.&Capt Amer: $5.25 City-Park Tractor $3.75 City- Bulldoser $5.75 Friends-BeachBuggy $3.25 I racked up off of 2 stores. I just play w/them so brick are bricks for me😊
The Walmart 3-in-1 is set number 66790 with a retail price of $50. Batmobile, Batwing, and a Batman polybag. The components have a combined retail price of $91. So the "bundle discount" is 45%. Huge downside is only five minifigs and 3x are Batmans and 2x are Jokers. Terrible. FYI, I think the Mercedes two-pack is very cool.
Ok, cool, thx, so the Batman Walmart 3 in 1 did happen! I do agree about 3 Batman's and 2 jokers, but they'll probably be in their individual set boxes inside. 45% off is a good start. If they stack another 30% off last minute...now we're talking! Thanks for giving us the intel
Oh My Goodness! When I see you have uploaded a video, I am buzzing. Honestly can't wait for the next one. I bought one Lambo for 50% off (£10). I wont be going all in on it, Its terrible that only one mention for the Chinese Family Celebration, in the UK its selling more than the retail price, 1,800 Parts for £90 is wild!!! Kind of forgot that Wall-E could retire, good shout on these. Also the merry go round has under a one year shelf life so even if 20% off or get some sort of GWP, I could see this doing well. I did pick up the small Halloween Barn for personal collection. Hopefully you'll upload another video soon?
Ooo a fellow UK lego investor! How are you finding sets for 50% off like? It looks like it’s much much easier to do so in the US than here. People like the guy in this vid be like ‘I was walking in Walmart when I saw those sets at 50% off” and watch them be popular themes. While here it feels like very rare to find 50% off! And when they do, you’d have to rush in and pray your store still have them. Thoughts? Does this balance and reflect in the resell price as in resell price would also be higher?
@@arnoldmason4628 wait for the sales at Argos. Everything goes on a minimum 30% sale there in the end, and anything up to 60% when you include the vouchers they send you and using cashback. I picked up Optimus Prime there for £73 for example.

Thanks for another great video! The top of the list was definitely interesting. Even though I was high on the countach, I’m starting to share your concern about oversupply. I did take a flier and got one Monkie Kid city of Lantern set with the recent Lego double GWP promo. Maybe we will be the only sellers on the secondary market! Lol Take care and look forward to your next video!
Haha, the good news is if city of lanterns is a flop, it looks like a really fun build! I need to pick up a second one because I know eventually I'll cave and rip open and build the first one I have 🤣 Later bud!
@@kdxbricksanalytics Do it! lol Both appeal to me, but I think Ninjago might be underrated. Their price per brick is stellar. Yet you’re far more into the weeds on the data than I am.
I think the key factory with the Wolverine Claw is that it is from the classic yellow and navy costume, which was only ever worn in the recent Deadpool movie. In addition to which Hugh Jackman has gone from never again to being tipped for being in the next Avengers movie and if he is, it will be in the yellow and navy suit. Having said that I am not investing, because the next big Avengers movie could be 3 or 4 years out from here.
I have a theory on the Speed Champs and smaller sets in general...I noticed it awhile ago - when there is a Technic set and smaller brick built set, the smaller brick built version does well. Then I started seeing it across all sets, not just Technic. So based on that, I think the countach and Stitch brickheadz will do well. I haven't back tested yet so this is just a working theory.

Clevland from family guy drives a very similar corvette. Such a good car, def my favorite classic. A real shame these are at least solid on the aftermarket.
This video sounded like you are souring on a lot of the sets you were high on before. You thinking this year won't have as many good retiring sets for investing?
Great point and I think yes I'm souring on some sets...with 5 great star wars sets getting extended another year until retirement, the first wave of dioramas not doing well so far, and I'm guessing lower primary market sales velocity due to economic concerns (which means likely increase of supply on secondary market) I'm being more cautious. But, because of some of those concerns we'll like have a lot of great deals the rest of the year. I think there's still a lot of great sets out there, but I need to be selective and get them on discount. How about you...what are you thinking?
@@kdxbricksanalytics I've actually never invested in lego. But I do own all lotr sets for my personal collection. I absolutely think you have a valid point. That's why I like doing this data (and making sure I'm always consistent in collecting and reporting it)...some people have told me they use my reports to target sets more towards the middle of the table. i.e. sets that are good/popular enough, but possibly less supply on secondary market.
