wow subscribed! i love your quick summary of all the features. they lengthened the car for more leg room and trunk space?? wow i never knew that! great job! keep the vids coming
Almost everyone is using small engines with forced-induction to lower their CAFE averages. It's a smart work-around, but it doesn't always work the best in every vehicle. We do hear that Toyota has some all new powertrains in the pipeline, starting in 2017, as well as some new 8- and 10-speed auto transmissions, too. Could be another 5 years or so before all of this hits the market, though. We appreciate your comments, Toyota4Life. Thanks for watching!
I had this powertrain in my 2017 IS200t F-Sport that I drove for twenty one months & was decent for the most part with noticeable turbo lag, but was never overly annoying & never got loud & buzzy when pushed. I traded the car in two years ago & upgraded to a 2016 GS350 F-Sport which the V6 blows the turbo away with much more power, sounds a whole lot better & much better suits a luxury car. My GS rides better, but also surprisingly handles better than my IS did. The turbo likely won't last as long as the V6.
Yeah, the GS is a great car, but the 200t doesn't quite cut it for us, John Green. It's not horrible, it's just not the 350 which has a great V6 engine. Of course, we might say the same thing about the 3.5L V6 if we ever got the opportunity to test the GS-F. LOL Oh, well. We have issues like that. Thank you for your comments and for watching, too!
U killed the intro and camera angles. This is gear toward buyer like me, have an HS250...looking for the next. Got out of a 3 series and x5....so much happier with Lexus b/c of maintenance cost bttr, along with not common factor. Benz and BMW are a dime a dozen now....if not seen in the street too much (which they are)...it’s def a thing in each used car lot u pass....and I mean EACH! I like this for the GS look, but over driving fast. Need the GS size, esp for rear seating (double dates etc)...which the IS just is too small. I like, down to about 35k on autotrader now, maybe next year. Great rev.
We used to think EXACTLY the same way, pedro fernandez. Now we feel as long as there are people willing to buy the smaller-engined cars, manufacturers can keep making the larger-engined cars that we like to drive. We're selfish that way.
Great video. I've been watching a ton of Lexus videos as I am in the market.. I will definitely be scrolling threw you're videos. Keep up the work. Gorgeous car too.
Great Review Man. I agree with you. The styling inside and out is great. However, this turbo needs an upgrade in this car. It seems that BMW, Audi, MB are able to give you more from their 2.0t engines.
As a gs350 owner, the 200t has loser written all over it. While I personally love my gs, lexus neglected the gs to death and the 200t is an embarrassment & weakens an otherwise misguided product. If reliability didn't matter, I'd drive an Audi or Mercedes, but, since reliability does matter, I drive Lexus.
Yeah. We think people who can afford cars like the GS 200t we reviewed can probably afford to spend a little more for the 350... and do. Thanks for watching, dcharizard91!
Good review, but i will wait until the 2016 GS350 hit the cpo marker, although they're taking forever to come down in price, even thou the 2017 are already out. UGH...
Yeah, value retention is the problem with Lexus CPO, unless you buy one new, then it's great! LOL Give it 3 or 4 years until the mid-cycle refresh then prices should be better, Mr Antifeca. Thank you for your comments and for watching!
Ah, the question of the hour, John Cardin. Chris' daily "daddy-mobile" (when he's not testing cars) is a 2011 Cadillac CTS sportwagon. If you watch carefully, you might catch it in some of our videos.
Nicely reviewed, very nice car and colors. Lexus well known reliable , safety and comfort. But one problem about this guy review , can't he talk normally like a human? Plus I can't stand his voice.
Ha! They're probably thinking about how they can keep the LX 570 and the Land Cruiser on the market without incurring any penalties due to not meeting CAFE regulations. We appreciate your comments, PeterGriffin4200. Thanks for watching!
PeterGriffin4200 not everyone wants tickets, many want the GS look and size. Hate the rev engine guys. It’s look and size and the ES just isn’t there. IS, is just too small.
I like you're presentation style and how you insert your opinions reasonably.

Beautiful car inside and out. BUT that engine wasn't intended for the GS.
Toyota4Life you be surprised in other markets ouside of US, Lexus is using the 2.0t engine on the new RX's.

true, volvo only use 4bangers in new diesels now.
The BMW 528i has the same specs, and sells just fine. They’re just following the Germans, which will just expand who can afford to get the car.

Good review. I would get the GS 350

Great video. My wish-list is to get 2016 or 2017 Lexus GS350 F-Sport.
4bangers are for economy cars, NOT luxury ones, I don't care who makes it. A V6 is the least engine I would consider in a luxury car.
We used to think EXACTLY the same way, pedro fernandez. Now we feel as long as there are people willing to buy the smaller-engined cars, manufacturers can keep making the larger-engined cars that we like to drive. We're selfish that way.
pedro fernandez
small engine with reliable force induction is the way to go. MPG over HP
Suddenly the 1.5 four banger in my Yaris doesn't feel that tiny anymore, when see a Smart, Mini Cooper or Mirage next to me.
Porsche sure doesn't mind the V6.
Excellent review!
Thank you, Quinton Turner. We appreciate you!
Great video. I've been watching a ton of Lexus videos as I am in the market.. I will definitely be scrolling threw you're videos. Keep up the work. Gorgeous car too.
Thank you, Michael McAllister. We appreciate your support! And stay tuned. We have another Lexus or two in the pipeline. Thanks for watching!

Thanks, therealme812!
I love my GS, the 200t is for us that have already done 188 mph in a car.
Did you face a lot of problems? I’m looking into a used one. Thanks
Had one small problem in the beginning, something to do with a turbo pressure switch. Nothing after that, It was a great car.
I live in Texas this is too slow for my daily drive so i go with the GS 450H, its hard to go back once you tasted the Power.
Great review man
Thank you, novola1972. We appreciate your comment. And thanks for watching!
Great review
Thanks for watching, tbnewhomes!
The 2.0 turbo just doesn't do justice in terms of peorformance compared to the 5 series, e class and the a6
Great review...and totally agree with you
Lol did no one catch the “spirited driving” 😂
I totally agree with you, for engine GS350 will be better.
Thanks for watching, Adrian Haj!
200T feels good on the IS, I dont know about GS
As a gs350 owner, the 200t has loser written all over it. While I personally love my gs, lexus neglected the gs to death and the 200t is an embarrassment & weakens an otherwise misguided product.

Great review… Premium or regular fuel?
i’d get a cpo s class for that kind of money with an extended warranty-and still have enough money left for a trip somewhere.
patrick jean you’d be surprised how bad the interior quality is on the s class
Can I put 400,000 miles on it without major failures ?
Depends on how you take care of it. Stay on the oil changes and the maintenance.
The music sounds similar to Mike Chang ' s workout vids. I feel like doing some sit ups now :)
And one... and two... and three... LOL Thanks for watching, DallasTechie!
The GS200t is way too expensive...probably why you don't really see any on the road. That engine is just too small for this car.
Yeah. We think people who can afford cars like the GS 200t we reviewed can probably afford to spend a little more for the 350... and do. Thanks for watching, dcharizard91!
dcharizard91 one reason to get one.
I bought this car for my wife. Just enough power for her.
Wow 60k for a four cylinder not for me
the 450h isa better option in every way
I agree, but it should have offered awd as an option
Good review, but i will wait until the 2016 GS350 hit the cpo marker, although they're taking forever to come down in price, even thou the 2017 are already out. UGH...
i just bought an CPO lexus rcf
Yeah, value retention is the problem with Lexus CPO, unless you buy one new, then it's great! LOL Give it 3 or 4 years until the mid-cycle refresh then prices should be better, Mr Antifeca. Thank you for your comments and for watching!
Is this guy Carlton banks
love you're videos
We appreciate you, Human Hi. Thanks for your support!
Don’t love your grammar...
The car comes with badging? Cool.
LOL Thanks for watching, rajjy1976.
So what does Chris drive?
Ah, the question of the hour, John Cardin. Chris' daily "daddy-mobile" (when he's not testing cars) is a 2011 Cadillac CTS sportwagon. If you watch carefully, you might catch it in some of our videos.
@AutoAcademics - the old CTS wagon was a stunner. 👌🏽
I ll that the v6 engine instead
U forgot the refrigerator that makes ice!!!!
Great video.
Priced too close with the 350.
Yup. Thanks for watching!
i love mine.
Nice! Thanks for watching, Duane.
how much did u pay at the end?
if this car was like 45k it would sell way better
Keep doing it
Want to see more
Nicely reviewed, very nice car and colors. Lexus well known reliable , safety and comfort.
But one problem about this guy review , can't he talk normally like a human? Plus I can't stand his voice.
Hmm. You liked the review, but not the guy conducting the review. Gotcha. Thanks for watching, anyway, Ty John.
Chris got jokes....lol.
LOL For some reason, Chris ALWAYS has jokes. He just likes to be sly with them sometimes.
Wrong engine for this car.
Still don't know if he's a fan or not? Gtfo
That stupid 4cyl engine has no business being in a $60k Lexus of that large size, what was Lexus thinking??
They just followed the German brands.
Ha! They're probably thinking about how they can keep the LX 570 and the Land Cruiser on the market without incurring any penalties due to not meeting CAFE regulations. We appreciate your comments, PeterGriffin4200. Thanks for watching!

Same specs of528i that sells just fine
Shit only revs to 6grand?! Weak!!!!
lolz
It sounds awful... get a v6 or v8
