Grooming. Non-stop grooming. It also helps if the field they are in isn't dusty or muddy often. A lot of paddock horses tend to be really clean -- at least at my barn they're both spotless and they don't wear sheets. Their paddocks are all grass or dirt in an open area that offers plenty of wind flow.
I have a white gelding and he‘s actually quite clean. It really depends on the quality of your fields and what kind of bedding you have in your stables
I’ve only been on a horse twice and in western saddles but I imagine the feeling of mounting the horse being magical, the saddles leather creaking as you settle in, the feeling of being on top of the world and looking down apon it, the feeling of being in control and having no control at the same time. I can’t wait to buy my first horse after college only 10 more years 😀😵😩
Hey Han, I was wondering, what part of Australia do you live in? Not trying to be creepy, it's just that I live in Australia and I really want to meet you!! Fletch is so gorgeous!!
Hi! I'm new here and I love your channel♡. I'm new at riding horses. (I'm 16)and I love it, I would like to have a horse in a few years and your videos are helping me a lot. I just want to improve♡ I love you and your horse. ♡♡♡
Hi Han. I’m a huge fan of yours and fletch’s. I’m in desperate need to sort out my horses tail, it’s very thick and untidy at the top and very thin at the bottom of her tail. Can you give me some pointers as fletch’s tail is beautiful. Thank you. Hoping for a new video soon ❤️
Hey Han Equestrian! I was wondering what you use to create the thumbnails on your videos Have been looking for a good app. thanks this would help a lot if you could help me out! loved the video
What’s your opinion on the micklem ( if that how you spell it ) bridle, thinking of getting one for my horse as he has a very sensitive face ❤️ Btw love the video ❤️
Hey Han, I know I am late for this but I have been saving up money to go on a horse shopping spree. I need a new helmet as mine is in crap condition and I wanted to get a dublin I have max $200 to spend, I am only leasing a horse and I do all disciplines, I would like a good all rounder helmet I don't really care about looks (except for when it looks like I have a broken egg shell on my head). I can't decide so because you know so much about the helmates and you have some of the helmetes I can't decide out of, can you help me and I am not showing this season. The 3 helmetes are the dublin db primo helmet, the dublin db1 helmate and the dublin arista helmate. I couldn't say anything on instagram because I don't have it but this would be super helpful if you could tell me which one is the best for my level!
Are you saying his head gently nods up and down as he walks? That's normal. It's supposed to do that because it means he is swinging freely through his hips.
I would recommend you the Eskadron / Antares ones, with the impervious and polar side it preserves your saddle really well! There are other brands too, but that was for references 😉
Even though I know a horse is bomb proof and they won’t buck, I still go behind them, but far away, because there’s still a chance it could happen because I’m so small they might think I could hurt them. Idk
This is a great video, I love it and im going to subscribe but everything you put on his back it too far forward. Im not sure if you got a saddle fitter but if you havent you should because the saddle would be too far back if you were to adjust to put it in the right position. It's a nice saddle and your horse is very pretty but when you have the saddle too far forward it constricts the muscle movement when they canter and jump. I'm saying this to let you know and hope you and your horse get far with each other.💗
No, it's based on where your horse's front leg muscle is when you canter. You grab their leg and pull it up and have someone mark with chalk where the muscle ends. Where it ends is where you should put the saddle farthest forward point of the saddle flap. If you put it too far forward it constricts the leg movement and makes it hard for the horse to canter and jump comfortably. It's a preference thing, meaning you don't have to do it but it's strongly recommended to do.
Your joking right that hurts the horse more than having the saddle where it is supposed to be on their withers. The girth is supposed to go right behind their front shoulder
@@alyssaequestrian3465 And what information do you have to back that up beside what your trainer has told you? If you put the saddle on their wither, how do you expect the horse to move comfortably with your weight on their shoulders. You want to be just behind their shoulder so they have freedom of movement.
Linda Rooney all horses do. It says what year they were born and what number foal they wear (as in my horse what the 15th foal born in whatever year 😂 I hop that wasn’t too confusing
Oh wow!!! Your horses roses hoofs are very clean! Lol. I don't even know why I am excited about that
i live in florida and since we dont really have dirt instead we have sand their hooves dont get dirty

What brand of saddle do you have?
Awesome video!! Question - the leather thing on the horses neck, what do you use that for?
Leia Nails It's a martingale, and it prevents the saddle from sliding backwards.
what is the thing that you put on before the bridal that you attached to his saddle? x
Rebecca Equestrian breast plate?
Is your horse a hannoveraner
Awesome!
By the way you treat that horse, so sweet. I never would've guessed you used bits.
i wish I could do this....... but all the horses I use are hot-horses and there would be alot of bloopers and editing. :(
What GoPro do u have I’m looking into getting one
I love 💕 this
Your horse is so beautiful
Hi I have a horse called bailey and he nods his head , when I ride on him he nods his head too is there anyway to get used to or prevent this??
Are you saying his head gently nods up and down as he walks? That's normal. It's supposed to do that because it means he is swinging freely through his hips.
What's ur horse called?
Whats the footing of your arena? it looks lile crusher dust
What camera do you use for filming other than the go pro?
Oye me podrías decir cada nombre de los accesorios que estás utilizando? Porfavor 😋💗💝💞

i want that halfpad, is it the "Kieffer Merino Half Pad" ? and what size is yours/is your saddle?
Pretty sure it is sorry bought it years ago! I have the full and my saddle is 17.5 hope that helps!
What brand is your saddle cover? I just bought a saddle and need a good one! Any suggestions?
The one I have actually came with my saddle! The Centaurs ones are supposed to be quite nice?
I would recommend you the Eskadron / Antares ones, with the impervious and polar side it preserves your saddle really well! There are other brands too, but that was for references 😉
Your Martin Gale is so much easier to put on than mine
Martingale?
what go pro do you use
Hey! What GoPro do you use??
How long does the whole tack up take you?
