The last time my horse got excited was when I went to go put his tack away (He is still in cross ties at this point in time) His kitty bff scares him (He then brakes the cross ties) He notices its his friend, she comes and lays up on his back, and he pees alllll over the floor.

I used to ride everyday that I had off from work. But now I hit hard times and it's so expensive that I can't get to ride as often anymore. So now I became a non horse rider who only watches horse videos! And no I am not being mean. Just saying! ☺

I'm not claire but I do! I'm kinda a new rider too, I started about 4 months ago, and I love it! If your trainer tells you to keep your heels down, instead of thinkimg abput pushing your heels down, think about pointing your toes up. If you press your heels down really far, you could be putting the pressure in the horses side, causing him to speed up when you don't want him to. When your trying to slow down the horse, instead of pulling on their mouth, use body language. Tighten your belly muscles, grip with your thighs, and dont let your hips move. Don't get disappointed if you dont get to trot on the first lesson, I only did because my trainer is my best friends step mom and ive been to the barn with them and ridden multiple times. Dont get frustrated if you can't get something the first try, its a long journey. Right now I'm having a lot of trouble with sitting trot. That's about all I have. There you go!
ellie X equine I have some tips also ive been riding since I was 4 and in now 13 so quite a while and a tip I have for you guys is when or if you learn to jump dont think about standing up when the jump comes lean forward and let the horse take you I made the mistake of standing up when I was 5 and I went over my horses head lol its hard to explain but I'm sure it will work out for both of you in the end

wl eventing thank you, but in not doing jumping. I do dressage, but I hope to start jumping in a few years when I'm more experienced
