These two teams dominated the NBA from 1999-2010 this season was the start of the Spurs Lakers era
0:25 he said “Duncan the only player in the league to be in the top 10, that leads in 5 categories” .... as a sophomore...i love kobe but damn tim duncan back then was so good...
Other than Jordan - I am not sure there has ever been a better player than Duncan
San Antonio played fewer possessions too, if the pace of the game was the same as the Lakers' Duncan would've averaged about 2 points, 1 rebound, 0.5 assists more per game.
thats why I argue whose better all time kobe or timmy d, its very close
Gotta love these throwback games....
My goodness. Why is Jr Reid on Tim Duncan the whole game! That BBQ chicken man!
I tell you why. It’s because Kurt Rhambis was a bad coach. It’s exactly why Jerry West hired Phil Jackson the very next season.
@@Theterminato2013How would you guard Tim?
I thought I was the only one that notice that lmbo no wonder they sweep 😂
@@dan320000Any big men in the Lakers, Shaq or Horry would be a better defender on Duncan than trashass JR Reid.
This account is incredible! THANK YOU sir or madame
some very valuable recordings,thanks!
RIP Kobe Bryant black mamba?(never been forgotten)😢😢😢😇😇😇😇😢😢😢
Classic throwback games at its best
Duncan was better than Kobe and that should not be a debate. No hate for Kobe though. RIP Black Mamba.
Stop smoking drugs.
@@pipoypipoy9761 stop crying dummy. Facts.
Delusional birdbrain 🤡🤣😂 he was better when he entered the league, but Kobe improved year after year and never stopped working on his game. Kobe had a winning record against Tim Duncan in the postseason 🤡🤡🤣😂 still Tim Duncan the greatest power forward of all-time
Ducan was he was more polished, he played 4yrs in college
Im a long time Spurs fan and I'ma have to disagree with you on that statement. Duncan was the better all around player because of his height with the ability to block more shots, score, grab more rebounds and make his teammates better but Kobe was a cold blooded killer. I didn't like Kobe for the same reason I didn't like Jordan. I knew they would destroy you. It took me a long time to really appreciate Jordan and Kobe Bryant. R.I.P. Kobe. One of the G.O A.T.S
9:04 one of his best faskbreaks
Two decades after, Bryant's game changed through the years but Duncan's game remained the same. Nothing fancy from Duncan. He just gets the job done. Kobe started as a cocky kid who evolved into a great leader.
@Darnell How he’s being a hater? Clearly 24 Kobe was much more mature and better leader than 8 Kobe.
@@Theterminato2013#8 Kobe smoked the Spurs and Duncan. So u can’t say that. Remember the #8 Kobe swept the Spurs. It was a great backNforth rivalry.
@@lennybeason1110good point. Kobe's 99-03 was his sidekick era. His Robin era. So he gets confused for a Robin alot when he had long terms of near team leading superstar status. In 2001 Playoffs, he was certified Alpha co-leader. 2000 NBA Finals he made leaps outgunning Reggie Miller in a vital Game 4.
@alectapia1518 you mean until 2002. By 03, Kobe was the best player on the team.
@@lennybeason1110 the Spurs swept the Lakers this year in the playoffs and closed out the form. This isn’t the barbershop where you could just say stuff and no one can verify it.😂
No es lo mísmo terminar 79 - 89 que 81 - 89 😎 Que bueno poder ver esto! oro puro, viva el basquet!
🙏🏼
I loved our court colors...wtf happened 😠😠😠
AT&T CENTER is what happened in 2002-03 season (SBC CENTER at the time)
The Spurs switched from the fiesta color Alamodome home floor and logo into Silver and Black AT&T home floor colors and logo beginning of the 2003 season.
Atmosphere was real!
Todd .Chamberlain II back when the games were at its purest
Kobe is the best!!!!!
That building (the Alamo dome) was built for football but then Spurs teams was so good under Larry Brown and Gregg Popovich for so long except 1997 (Tim Duncan drafted) they sold out the joint and made enough money to build the SBC Center now named the AT&T Center, also the 1998 men's NCAA basketball final four held their as well during the Spurs tenure.
Title should say "Tim Duncan highlights and footage of Kobe shooting a bunch of FT's."
Brandon Van kobe better
Glyndon Warren notorious aka gdubb vs Juan Cardenas(full highlights)
fisher is crazy on bryant every day, time etc.......
matias villarroel duncan kill alone lakers fundamentals=brains=popobish(puta)=hermandad , querer al mas debil , ayudar a los mierderos
Why didn't Rodman play against the Spurs?
David Robinson and Tim Duncan how could you stop thar duo? Lol. Well the Lakers did it a couple times in the next few years soI guess they figured it out.
Shaq-Kobe feud happened during that time
No in the 03 -04 vs pistons
Shaq should’ve been guarding Tim Duncan
The coach didn't realize this and also in my opinion Shaq wouldnt been able to keep up in stamina in the series.
He was to slow to keep up with Duncan
Today's Spurs logo is so much better than this one.
i kinda like the old one
yo they should switch back to the watermelon colors. Real talk.
Adam Barton "Watermelon colors" lol. It's the official colors of Fiesta, which is a huge party held in San Antonio every year that involves Spanish food, beer, and dancing.
Brandon Van whats spanish food ?
Imo, the fiesta logo was the Spurs most unique and best logo.
kobe 5 assist lol..
What is funny about that?
+Brandon Reed Idk why people nowadays put the word "lol" to pretty much every sentence. I wonder just like you why he finds that to be funny.
JR reid should not have ever been an NBA player.
