Those aren’t wrinkles, that’s like muscle on top of muscles. Even Jack’s cheek and lip muscles are developed enough to get into lip off with a caveman.
My favorite aspect of the style for their eyes is that it serves a purpose, it isn’t just for show. When it’s all white it shows focus and when they have that red glow they have killing intent. Since it’s Baki we can assume with Jack’s character the man even did face crunches to get his facial muscles so strong and expressive
This fight showed him that there is always someone stronger and it showed Jack's strength that he is a hanma much like his brother baki and his father yujiro hanma this family shows what strength means
It's strange, but I've always felt like the Baki series made their characters into INCREDIBLY masculine and testosterone filled monsters, but their faces were often very cutesy/pretty. Like when Jack throws Sikorsky, his face almost looks cute. Very interesting art style.
Honestly man, say what you want about Sikorsky but he did have the balls to go straight at Jack despite everything beforehand. I love him for that, dude doesn't give a FUCK, straight menace.
Sikorsky was arguably the most boring of the inmates. Looks-wise the most boring and even though Speck went down early into the arc, even his personality left more of an impression. If the finger-strength gimmick had actually been committed to, Sikorsky could've been cool. Actually have his claw-like fingers slash others except side characters and you have a very cool dynamic of a slasher-boxer type, leading to serious physical ramifications like with all the other inmates. Hell, if his finger strength is so deadly, his grip would be insane too, so if he ever got a hold of his opponent, he could rip their flesh or at least crush bones. You throw a punch, he avoids, grabs your wrist or forearm aaand *CRACK.*
All the collective fights between these two was like Jack trying a new food. First taste wasn’t impressive, he needed another, and so on, but in the end it wasn’t worth it.
