Ash and Chad that was one of the best Christmas trips around London I’ve seen on RUclips yet! You guys are adorable and I am thoroughly enjoying your Vlogmas 🙌
I very much enjoyed watching your fine video! The music...the sights...and the commentary brightened my day. Thank you so much! Looking forward to the next Vlogmas!
Love your were both in the video this time. I've been trying to buy Whittard Xmas Hot chocolate but It IS a shame that sin Brexit, una le to get them thru tu EU countries. Pity. Saludos from Spain.
So thrilled you are doing vlogmas! Your videos are my new favorite! So bummed about Liberty though - as an American it’s always been a dream of mine to go!
Great video. 10:43 - Horse Guards parade, Whitehall. Was originally the entrance to Buckingham palace. Also, where Trooping the Colour happens in June. The staging was for the recent state visit of Emir of Qatar. 🇶🇦
As always, great vlogmass and great to see back streets of London very original. I would like to see more in the future vlogs. The music that accompanied the vlog was beautiful . Nice to have Chad 's company Ash, your Christmas decorations are gorgeous feathers wear lovely touch ❤to Dougal xxx
Hi, Ash and Chad! I'm truly enjoying your vlogmas this season. I think those of us who consume vlogmas content understand that daily content means some days are extravaganzas and some are bits and bobs, and both are awesome. As for me, I can say that I look forward to checking in every day to see what you guys are up to. I can only imagine the work it takes to produce and edit the daily content, but, for what it's worth, I'll be here every day. I'm looking forward to each tomorrow xo
New subscriber. I like grumpy Scotsman. He reminds me of friend. One thing though, The white ceramics in Liberty (maybe not the ones you first pointed out) but close after, were actually Astier la villatte who make them in the pottery store at the shop in 1eme. They are artisan made and you can visit the workshop. I've had a home in Paris for decades. A La Villatte started by 2 guys Ivan an Bendoit a few decades ago. Anthropology copied their lamp and they are very trendy now. A good present for a French friend. Lots of dinky gifts at all price ranges. I would only buy at their store. Definitely not mass produced from China or Turkey tho! As a business the Scotsman would like the story. We also do a day shopping Paris to London each Christmas . 2/3 hour on train. Meal on the way home. A treat. I am a cancer researcher and very busy with Covid cancers, with several friends dead and sick, I want out. I might show people the real Paris sometime. London changed a lot when the 250k French went to work there after 2008 crash and so many interesting places in the two cities.x
Christmas baubles come with eye watering prices and all much of a muchness from shop to shop, at least Liberty's fire hydrant offers intrigue and delight. Very much enjoy coming along for the ride, thank you.
Loving your daily Vlogmas videos ~ happy upcoming holidays to you & Chad (p.s. I like Chad's comments about the exorbitant prices in some of the shops)!
The military dais at 10:34 on Horse Guards Parade was part of the Qatari State Visit. I believe Trooping the Colour is always held in the summer for a more pleasant 'second birthday' for the monarch.
I love the fire hydrants in Liberty too and so well polished - the charm of the building. Not sure about the central decorative feature though - tall Christmas tree would be lovelier.
I enjoyed this so much, especially the stroll along the quiet back street with the blue signs. I felt like I was visiting London and having friends share their favorite places with me.
Bubble and squeak cooked properly nice and crispy is delicious also why the down on British wines they win awards even in France and not just sparkling
Great to see Chad we really miss him. Thanks for the boogie round The Big Smoke. As for Liberty think Chad is correct seems to be more a mooch around shop beautiful . The architecture in London is fabulous. Great to see Doogle on walkies. I sympathise with ya about Xmas Meats, Mr Tim & I are in the same position not sure what to go for. Thanks fellas. Catch ya tomorrow. Whoo 🎅🎄
I am so grateful u are posting every day. Never mind all the editing! Ash, be thankful we live on different continemts and that I have the most amazing boyfriend ever, otherwise that accent of yours will have me outside your house with flowers, Chad or not.... lol 😂
I love Bubble & Squeak... my Dad makes it the best.. with a bit of a crispy edge. Great tour and always good to see Chad and I was salivating at the Ottolenghi footage. Thank you... enjoying your Vlogmas :)
Turkey is not dry at all if you put olive oil mashed with herbs & garlic under the skin & on top with wine in the pan. Also a filet of beef with a red wine sauce is different but very easy. We have twice stuffed potatoes at Christmas also. I enjoy your channel! Merry Christmas to both of you from Baketsfield, California!
I've been enjoying your antiquing and designing videos, as I came over after I saw you on Luke Catleaugh's site! Love your floral arrangements.. all of them I've seen! Be sure to always strip all greenery off of stems going in water! If the stems are woody, whittle the outer layer off to the wood which will be all that remains in the water. For leafy stems. Remove ALL leaves! I reccomend changing the water quite often to prolong the luf of the arrangements. Also, you may, in a week or so or a few weeks, depending on the florals, trim their stems up a bit to get to fresh wood or green stems. This will also stop them from having a nasty odor, as you get rid of the rotting bottoms!
Bubble and Squeak! Actually, at least here in the Midwest, we eat this. And our family is mostly Scottish, Irish and English, in that order so lots of the same dishes. Absolutely love your videos Ash! And of course Chad is a bonus LOL. Just feeding his ego! 😂
I was in England in September and had bubble and squeak. I loved it! I wish it were on the menus here in the US. I guess I’ll try and attempt it myself.
38 degrees here in Australia.Sooo glad xmas lunch here is relaxed and laid back. Lots of salads, seafoods & the beach! By the way my dads fam is Scottish so I relate totally to Chads take on life .Legend mate.
We visited the Churchill War Rooms along with several palaces etc. about ten years ago and it was amazing! We’re taking our first British Isles cruise with Cunard this coming year and we cannot wait!!! Lovely vlog!! Reminded me of the places we visited. We stayed in a hotel in Earls Court.
I think Liberty is Arts & Crafts revival. Never the same since the Oriental Bazaar was moved out of the basement. My sister has some Chinese watercolours I bought her in the 80s, they are lovely still !!!
Ash, thank you for day 3 of Vlogmas. I love watching all your videos. I enjoyed the tour of London. It has been many years since my last visit to London, so this brought back fond memories for me. I also enjoyed your commentaries and the banter between you and Chad. I love how open and engaging you both are with your viewers. All the best from New York City, Robert.
Thanks for that lovely little tour of London. Even though I have visited a few times, I never tire of looking at your architecture. Living in Australia, we only have 200 years of architectural history and I find it fascinating!
Love the Vlogs. In the midst of radiation treatments until the end of the year so I totally look forward to this every day. Thank you from Niagara Falls Canada !
Lovely vlog. The wooden interiors of Liberty were made from a decommissioned ship of the period, I believe. They have the loveliest shopping bags. I am enjoying your Vlogmas. Thank you. Could Chad do a Christmas lunch wine review?
I can see why Prince (now King) Charles made a fuss about architecture. Can you imagine if all of London where those hideous highrises. Let me tell you that is all we have here in the states and it is ugly. It can be nice at night with everything lit up but in the daytime it just looks foreboding and hideous imo. I worked in downtown Indianapolis for about 15 years and I hated it. Your architecture is beautiful and something to be proud of. Absolutely beautiful buildings. Thank you for walking us around.
I adore turkey and always cook it on the breast down first to gather the fats and then turn ie jamie oliver style and it gets crispy skin on top at end. If you get a frozen turkey they have more moisture in them and I get mine 4 days before Christmas Day and delicious. My parents adored bubble & squeak for left over brussell sprouts and roast potatoes and like rosti in a way fried up.
Everywhere you turned the camera I was literally moaning out loud. Such a beautiful city. All that history. The U.S. feels so new with less history. You guys crack me up about your height. 5’9” and a half!! 😎
We have turkey (brine it first, it will never be dry doing it that way) but also goose or duck which are soft sweet meats, just delicious and perfect for Christmas.
Thanks for taking us to see London at Christmas! I love the architecture and the history - so thanks for the tour! I have to agree with Chad - Liberty doesn’t seem to have a good business model. I think the pavilions you saw being constructed at the Horse Guards Parade were for the state visit of the Emir of Qtar. I’m Australian but we had bubble and squeak (or at least my dad’s version of it) growing up. His grandfather was English, so that’s likely where it came from. I can relate to the height discrepancies - when I was younger I would say I was 5’ 10 1/2, and my husband who is the same height would say he was almost 6’, but now I think I’m shrinking as I’ve definitely dropped the 1/2! I blame it on the stress of child bearing and rearing! 🤣 I also do most of my ‘life admin’ in bed or on the couch as I need to be comfortable, so I understand! Looking forward to the next 21 days! Late Dec and Jan are going to feel empty without daily videos!
I'm American, but have heard of bubble and squeak (but that's a cheat because my husband is English). I love your videos and the music you use is so pretty and calm. it goes so well with your aesthetic. Looking forward to more!
😊😊this vlog was excellent. The houses you filmed commenting on the doors etc, wonderful.Does Dougal swim?Apparently dogs will drink dirty water to conserve any fresh water
Architecture in London is amazing and even if owned by oligarchs at least they are maintained. I agree with Chad that building is brutal and I recognise it as MI5 building from the later Bond films on the river when Judi Dench starred in her last Bond film. Gaura Ellyptica.
Lovely London accompanied by beautiful music. Completely agree people think just because Harrods, Fortnum are expensive they're good however in blind reviews their produce often doesn't fare well against supermarkets and high street offies! Bubble & Squeak is delic, make it with brussels and pancetta for a change, Chad are you brown or red sauce boy?
In the USA until 20 years ago, it was expected that the Furnishing in any home Exceeded the purchase price of the home. So if you spent $200 K for a home it was expected to have another $200K 0r More in Furnishings furniture, and dishes, appliances etc.
Guys. Look up Cairn O Mohr wines vegan and made in Scotland. Around £10.00 per bottle. The Autumn Oak Leaf in my opinion rather lovely, I came across this wine many years ago when in Scotland. They make a variety and deliver.
Thanks for the video guys!!!
Thank you for showing us around the town. I really enjoy looking at the different buildings. Beautiful area.
Thanks for the wonderful tour, your lunch looked yummy!
Hi Ash and Chad Lovely vlogmas loved the walk round London glad it was your legs doing the walk and not mine , ill be watching your next 21 vlogs
Thank you so much! It was a lot 😂
Love your were both in the video this time. I've been trying to buy Whittard Xmas Hot chocolate but It IS a shame that sin Brexit, una le to get them thru tu EU countries. Pity. Saludos from Spain.
Bubble great way to use left over sprouts.
Very true!
Ash really love Chads comments. Totally refreshing and cracks us up. Best trip round London. Loving your vlogmas❤
Great vlog, love the honesty of Chad re Liberty. Feel very Christmassy now I’ve watched this xxx
Omg luv Chad’s honesty “these are the businesses that deserve to go out of business” 😂
Agreed! I find myself saying this more and more often 😂
Indeed!!!
Love love loved this London tour from both of you! So much history❤️🇨🇦
Awww, I've just tuned in to you guys standing with the Grenada 🇬🇩 flag in the background. ❤❤
So thrilled you are doing vlogmas! Your videos are my new favorite! So bummed about Liberty though - as an American it’s always been a dream of mine to go!
Every time I see Chad , he reminds me so much of Morrissey in his younger years , it’s his eyes ! ☺️
I see the similarity 😂
This vlog was such a treat! So looking forward to the rest of vlogmas! 🫶🏼
Great video. 10:43 - Horse Guards parade, Whitehall. Was originally the entrance to Buckingham palace. Also, where Trooping the Colour happens in June. The staging was for the recent state visit of Emir of Qatar. 🇶🇦

Great video and thanks for taking us with to Central London ! Thanks for sharing and i love Vlogmas !
The military dais at 10:34 on Horse Guards Parade was part of the Qatari State Visit. I believe Trooping the Colour is always held in the summer for a more pleasant 'second birthday' for the monarch.
Guys loved this trip around some of the posh parts of London, thanks for putting in the legwork so we don't have to!
I'm going to be having some Bubble and Squeak this evening with some fried Pork Chops. Great video as always!!

Oh bubble & squeak… being a true Cockney, I love it! 🥦🥔 At 10:23 that place is called Horse Guards Parade.
I am so grateful u are posting every day. Never mind all the editing! Ash, be thankful we live on different continemts and that I have the most amazing boyfriend ever, otherwise that accent of yours will have me outside your house with flowers, Chad or not.... lol 😂
This comment made me chuckle 😂
I love Bubble & Squeak... my Dad makes it the best.. with a bit of a crispy edge.
Great tour and always good to see Chad and I was salivating at the Ottolenghi footage.
Thank you... enjoying your Vlogmas :)
The music at the start of the video is beautiful!
I do admire Chads practical sensibilities.
Another great Vlog. It has been a long time since I have been in London at Christmas time. Thank you Ash.

I like the honest reviews-the food, the basic candle stick, etc. it’s refreshing and a bit funny too. Bubble and squeak sounds terrifying! Cheers!
Thank you very interesting, how knowledgeable are you and chad ,especially about wine. Well, about most things .😊
Thank you
Great tour and commentary.
I think Liberty is Arts & Crafts revival. Never the same since the Oriental Bazaar was moved out of the basement. My sister has some Chinese watercolours I bought her in the 80s, they are lovely still !!!

Oh, you have to try “Smashed Brussel Sprouts with Parmesan!! 🎉🎉 Yummmmmy.. got to try!!
Sounds delicious, will definitely try!
Thanks for that lovely little tour of London. Even though I have visited a few times, I never tire of looking at your architecture. Living in Australia, we only have 200 years of architectural history and I find it fascinating!
I first heard of bubble and squeak in the movie Beautiful Thing. I made it a few times and it was not bad.
'Bubble and squeak' Is basically potatoes and cabbage with seasoning, mushed up
The horse parading place is the Horse Guards Parade x
Thank you!
Chad is so dreamy ☺️
Bubble & Squeak lol haven’t heard that in ages.
Thanks for sharing!🌲🎄🏆🎄🌲
I’ve heard of bubble & squeak but to be fair my dad is British. Ours was always brussels sprout heavy and served with Yorkshire pudding. The memories!
Well said Chad, plus I so love French wine
Love the Vlogs. In the midst of radiation treatments until the end of the year so I totally look forward to this every day. Thank you from Niagara Falls Canada !

Love a Coates & Seely sparking wine, really nice
Liberty of London was built using wood from 2 decommissioned Royal Naval boats.
That was very enjoyable seeing London. 😊
I have heard of Bubble & Squeak... Never tried it but I have heard of it.
Really enjoying it Ash, if you do shorter ones , that’s fine too, Less is More..and all that. Don’t get tired! X
Gawd, I added a kiss there, sorry haha!
Only thing i remember about Liberty was buying a bag of chestnuts outside

Interesting, one of the wreaths in the shop had cotton bolls incorporated into it.
It was built in 1857 in the Tudor style
I was halfway there 😂 thank you!
I love Liberty in Central London
I love Bubble and Squeak 😂
P.S. loved your look around London and I am loving your channel 🙂
I love bubble and squeak 😋. I am English but live in Canada 🇨🇦

Glitch in the Matrix at 19:27 😉 Also, those lads all have the same outfit and haircuts and probably think each of them is unique. 😅
