Thank you Mr. Sudduth for the ABSOLUTELY incredible footage; perfectly woven into a most informative documentary. Between you and the epic teams of stormchasers who caught the perfect stadium effect eye of Michael, you have insured that our catastrophic life changing event on October 10, 2018 will not be "forgotten".❤

Just wow. at 12:20 of the gopro footage of Mexico Beach, I thought it was the worse the storm could get. 12:25 proved me wrong. Thanks for that, well, impressive footage.

The footage at the end of hurricane Michael was like it wasn’t even film on planet earth. I can’t even imagine the wind speeds that we’re present.

Hotel across the street and Hilton Garden Inn seen not too long after - barely a scratch
Very nice video! Struck awe into me and I hope one is made for 2019! You've just earned a new sub!

Hey mark love your footage. The best man out there for sure. U probably have worked on it before but if there’s a better way to create more light at night around the unmanned camera it would be next level. Maybe there’s a way to set up waterproof lighting surrounding the area. I understand all the work that would have to go into it but it would be a really cool idea

More people died in a cat 1 hurricane than in Hurricane Michael's cat 5 as so many do not take tropical systems seriously. They feel like they are protected by the land (strongly felt here in North Florida), or that these things ALWAYS turn away. People from Maine down the East Coast over to Texas are strongly urged to have hurricane supplies to care for your family for up to 72 hours after a storm. Even after storms like these, millions don't have those supplies. Due to the virus it will take longer to get even back up on one foot. People only pay attention to the major hurricanes. Irma scared many as it travelled the spine of the state - unheard of!

Really cool how y’all started putting unmanned cameras up everywhere. And for that 2002 Tahoe don’t get rid of it they don’t make them like that no more you said it gave up motor ? Or tranny electrical whatever it is them trucks are easy to work on and very reliable

Love your videos! Even though I lived through Betsy. Lived through Katrina in New Orleans and Gustov in Baton Rouge with my wife and kids, I still like watching hurricane video. Its very scary to go through these storms, especially for my kids. Since we moved from New Orleans to Baton Rouge to escape the evacuation madness and storm surge, we thought we were relatively safe from hurricanes. Our home flooded in 2016, even though we don’t live in a “flood zone”. I am nervous about this season, thinking the BIG ONE will bring storm surge to southern baton rouge or we get a repeat of inland flooding like 2016 or a tornado like the one that ripped the roof of home during Katrina! Living in southern Louisiana can be scary, even inland baton rouge.

mexico beach... my home for over 50yrs. Michael wasn't suppose to be the storm that changed my and so many others lives. i played pool and foos ball in toucans downstairs oyster bar as a teenager.. wher these storm chasers laid down on the hwy under the stars was less than 500ft from where i was at laying down in my still standing house when a huge helicopter came right down hwy 98... the lights lit up my yard 300ft from the gulf brighter than day light, like the alien light you see on movies such at encounters of the 3rd kind. i stood in my back yard among the debris with a small flashlight waving it at the helicopter as if saying *there's still life down here* it went west toward tyndall and stopped down the beach somewhere.... i thought they found a place to make a staging area and the calvery would soo be on there way! the a few hours later i heard theat copter coming back up the beach toward me heading toward st joe/apalach.. it went past me ansd as it watched it go by little did i know that my daughter kristen garcia was lookng down to see if my house only 300ft from the gulf was still there and thought it had washed away in the 20ft+ storm surge, and that i had perished and my 92 yr old mother Jadwiga Garcia was also in that helicopter...
tears are flowing from my eyes as I'm now watching this video just shocking me seeing this for the 1st time and seeing my mother and daughter.when they were rescued that nite...
i found out a week later or so they were in that copter. my dad always told me the property on 10514th st my house was 17ft above sea level, and knowing camille the 3rd most intense storm to make landfall in the US had a 24ft6" storm surge so I said it would take a direct hit from a camille to endanger my life, Michael replaced Camille as 3rd most intense storm. 2 people i knew were lost that day in the storm suge, they live down around 35th-40th st a death zone as its only 7ft or so above sea level down there. every house around me was absolute rubble as went out about 4 that afternoon as the sun was peeking out after the eye passed, i was ok with the wind somehow, just kept saying it wasn't suppose to be this bad over and over, but when i saw water racing across my back yard sheer terror gripped me as I knew it was coming from the gulf and was sea water.within a minute it was inside my house and coming up FAST, and just before whiteout when the wind was making my walls and ceiling breath i screwed my 2 other entry doors shut knowing if they blew open my house would pop from the pressure and the only had i way out was thru my bedroom sliding glass door and debris in the water was fast blocking any exit i could make, I'am/was disabled on a walker so i knew my time had come,I know now i shouldn't be here because ... if the photographer of this video reads this is there anymore footage of going in and rescuing my mother in her townhouse? please contact me---> Thomas Garcia tomcatsbluedream@yahoo.com
