I got a blue version of that bag on the wish site and the plastic heart piece has glitter too it. I put all my Disneyland pins in it. I love the idea of the stripe background! Super cute!

Also because I have so many different fandoms and stuff that I like I have a hard time deciding. Your idea works well not only for doing less damage to the bag, but also with doing the cardboard panel, it would be so easy to make a few different panels with different fabrics, colors, and accessories to easily swap out themes instead of having to get a ton of individual bags.

That is so nice, I love the striped background. Since the Heart Shaped Ita Bags have a lot of space on the sides both up and down, you could actually do a double background front and back and glue it above for the backside. No idea how to explain but it gives you a second background without having to glue another cardboard.
I am so happy I saw this video! I just ordered an ita bag and it should be here by Tuesday and I am totally doing mine with cardboard now. This would be great if you wanted to have multiple themes that you could just easily switch out too

A Clown School Dropout ! Not Dre, but I personally like cloth! Felt is just a bit too thick for most safety pins (assuming you mostly have buttons and charms- enamel pins it doesn’t matter what you use!) Also you just use somewhat thin cardboard so it doesn’t damage the pins

The front and sidds🕁 are Black Lady and Mistress 9 theme. I haven't decided on a theme for the back yet but then again I want another in Black so who knows 🕇☗

Making your own insert to stick all your pins to is such a good idea, especially if you want to easily switch out your obsessions from time to time. 😂
