    Hi - thanks, but you did forget to mention that you've to select the communication protocol as well (prog. 36) which automatically pops up after selecting bat type. As this is obviously not your first time setup, you've already been asked to do so - so the inverter skipped that step - but you should explicitly mention the first time setup case as well - tell me if i'm wrong due to eventually different firmware versions - thx

    Thanks for the video, Ben! My problem is I don't have the original data cable between the inverter and the battery so I tried to make one but I seems I don't knows the correct order of the wires for the two ends of the cable. @bccb491 2 года назад

      @@Bensgarage I have the same model with you but the model in the link isn't. Anyway, the hybrid inverter are those who combine both off-grid and on-grid features, it means that you have battery for back-up and, in the same time, you inject power to the grid and you have some compensations instead. Some dealers name incorrectly these inverters as "hybrid" because they use AC grid as back-up. A real hybrid inverter has, in the menu, "off-grid" function and "hybrid" function.

    Did you know when you purchase Paylontec battery they lie to you about capacity?
    Because you are not able to take all advantage from this battery...
    This battery is only 15S configuration inside, so it is working from 54V until 44V...
    Bu the battery should be able to work from 58V down to 46V...
    If they have 16S configuration inside, will have bigger voltage range and better efficiency...

    I'm planning on installing a similar system 2x plyon uc5000 and a solis 5k invertor. I can't get solar at my house at the moment so doing the battery only system is the next best thing. • @Bensgarage
      @Bensgarage  Год назад

      Sorry, but I have no idea how a battery only system works, and why would you need an inverter for a battery only system? Surely the batteries get charged from the grid (preferably at off peak rates) and you then power the house during the day from your batteries. I can only give advice on what I have done, researched and fitted and then let you know if it has worked or not.

      @@TheKerr1983 Oh I see, so your going to be running the inverter as if you had panels fitted, but just passing the grid through it for the time being, makes sense now. I guess then, it depends how good you are at electrics. I have found that most forums seem to concentrate on being totally offgrid or are selling power back to the grid, so I never paid much attention to those. If you go back over my solar series, I have made a few videos explaining how I have done it, hope they are of some help.
