Look like surprisingly good parts for a pre made kit. Obviously sourcing parts separately is cheaper (not by as much as you would think) - but there's a lot to be said for the convenience of a 1 stop shop, knowing that the parts are designed to fit together, with a customer service facility set up purely to help build their kit. For those new to custom watch building this is a great set, and its also a great gift for anyone who likes watches.
These kits are really awesome, the tools are good quality and the resulting watches really look good. And I guess having put together a watch it's easy to connect to it.
It’s good to see you get one of these kits because I am interested in your overall impression on whether this is good value for money. Understanding that there is a dollar value for the service of collecting the tools and parts plus there is a dollar value for the experience of following well prepared instructions. Cheers Gary.
Wow, I am impressed and intrigued. I really hope you produce a video or a series of videos assembling the watch. This looks like it would be a fun project. I might have to make a purchase in October even though I told myself not to buy a watch in October, damn and hurray! Thanks for the video Gary.
I bought a one from an ebay seller. I got it for £110, and it was the Mosel. That was about half price. It took me 40 minutes to build it, and if I hadn't of put the hands on incorrectly, I would have done it in 30 minutes. Regrettably I don't like the watch, and I can't sell it. It's going to be someone's Christmas present
Great little kit I've been looking for a reasonable quality basic tool kit but to come with an actual DIY watch is a cool bonus. Fantastic packaging as well, always been a sucker for proper boxing.Might have to grab one if they aren't too expensive.👍
Whole new meaning to an unboxing! They have changed the packaging since I reviewed one and included a cushion so perhaps they listened to my feedback. Enjoy the build Gary. Can’t wait to see you struggle , cough cough!
From what I've seen on other channels these work out quite expensive because if you want to 'change' parts you have to buy extra. If you could swap parts I think I would be OK with it.
Very nice kit! The only thing I'd change is the dial. I'm not fond of the logo and it has what looks like a part number printed under it. However, it's easy enough to get a different dial from Ali Express or whoever to put in there instead. Looking forward to your video putting all this together!!
Like others I’ve been thinking of trying one of their kits and it’s nice to see you open the box and check the quality. Not sure I have the patience but time to try. Great box opening Gary, thanks.
Pretty nice.certainly a whole lot of $ spent on the packaging,i think its likely very useful for those people who like to 'mod'.Anyway,it does appear to be good quality.
These look really interesting. I’ve brought most the tools to try a 1st watch build but never been super confident. Be good to see what you make of it overall
All they say on their site is it's 41 with a 22 strap. Their pics are all at an angle so I can't resize them and extrapolate the other dimensions. Top hat crystal and an exhibition back so probably 14+ thick? The lugs don't look crazy long so I'll guess 49.
I have the smaller dress watch kit of theirs, I'm more of a diver man but my uncle gave me the kit so I will put it together even if 36ish mm is a bit small on me!
I'd be like a kid at Christmas opening that kit! They seem to have a great way of Presenting the Product. I wonder if you get all the Tools every time, or, get a reduced Price after your first Kit. Having no need for more Tools.
I wonder how many people who watch this channel have actually installed, or tried to install, a second hand onto a movement? I have, and the first time was hell.
Wish I would have seen this company before I put together my watch repair kit. It looks like they include quality tools. Still want to see how it all comes together before I buy it. It is not cheep.
I've build a few watches over the years and sourcing your own parts individually is the cheapest way to go. Buying a kit is just making "their" watch for "them" While they charge you for the privilege.
This is what I think, I've put together a few watches now, and part of the fun is actually choosing all the parts and making the design decisions. It does seem like you are paying for the privilege of building someone elses branded watch here.
@@shanephillips8735 I totally agree Shane. Building a unique watch is what it's all about for me and when you get it right it's so satisfying. It's easy to find yourself building what would be a £400 watch for as little as a £100 outlay.
I think this is aimed at people who want to try it for the first time and are prepared to pay a little extra for the reassurance that it's all there and can be done following a detailed instructional video in an afternoon. I suspect you would only do this once and then move on to the types of build you are suggesting.
Everything looks cool. But the price hmmmm... subjective. You could get a Pagani Design, and a set of quality tool, with half the price, take it apart and put them back together. Its a Pagani, so screwing it up the first time wont hurt much ego too lol. Im doing it with a cheaper Lige, trust me the watch is screwed.

That's a really comprehensive kit, quite impressed by what they bundle in with it. Looking forward to seeing this being made.
That looks very promising. Can`t wait for the build video. 👍⌚😉

Yeah, I suspect the watch will mean more when you’ve put it together

My pleasure, I’ll start the build and see how it goes I think… maybe 1 video maybe more….
Thanks for posting this Gary! Love the custom rotor work and PVD (or maybe even DLC?) case, looking forward to the build video.

Love that you are doing this video. Have been tempted for at least a month to get this but wasn't sure of the quality.
The tools look good but I haven’t used them yet so time will tell…
Very impressive kit! I am looking forward to (hopefully) viewing your experience in successfully assembling your watch!
Lol….me too….I’ll post it regardless but I’m hopeful it will go fine!
Looks great, cant wait to see the build….thinking of doing this first before an Ebay parts one.
Wow they really sent you the full kit, I bought the expedition one and it was great! They are really doing something for the enthusiastic watch diy!
It’s a fantastic way to do a first build, yes it costs more than sourcing the part individually but for those that want a safety net it’s fantastic
Whole new meaning to an unboxing! They have changed the packaging since I reviewed one and included a cushion so perhaps they listened to my feedback.
Enjoy the build Gary. Can’t wait to see you struggle , cough cough!
lol......as soon as I saw the cushion I remembered what you said to me....Nice work!
Nice choice of designs on their website. Thanks for the info.

Thought exactly the same. Love the look of the kit but would source a dial elsewhere

Looks like you gonna have fun I would love to get one awesome video
Thank you…appreciate your support!

Great video Gary!!! Thank you!!!
Thank buddy

Very Good video !!!! Curious ... What are the dimensions of the watch such as case diameter, lug to lug length and the size of strap used ?

41.3mm diameter, 14.6mm thick, 47.6mm lug to lug, 22mm lug width
@@ilikewatches Thanks !!!!!
Very impressive! Can't wait to see the finished watch.

Looks like quality components. A good way to have a go at making a watch.
Nice kit...I like it👍

I can't wait for the next video of you putting it together! Very curious if this is a good quality watch/worth it.
Wow, great idea for a video
Looks like they gave you the deluxe....
I know…I let them pick what to send me and they went big!
Would be interested to know if you had to pay any import duties? /tax?
No none
Really looking forward to the next video.
That's a cool package fr Watch Club
Looks like they sent out the pro tool kit set... been wanting to see a review of that tool set to see if it's worth paying extra.
I haven’t seen any others from this company but I’m impressed with the tools that arrived
Nice kit .
I couldn’t find the second part, did you make the watch?

Nice puffer.
Lol…thanks
Nice one....
An IKEA watch!
very nice....
Cool! Tbh if you’re into toying with vintage watches, you’re probably buying these tools anyway, and these look like rebranded AliExpress stuff.
Almost a shame to disturb it!
I know….I was thinking that…I might unbuild it afterwards
That's an unexpected one)))
Interesting
That looks like it will be fun. Or, there will be a lot of swearing. There is no in between.
Great kit to get started with, then move on yourself to something else. All this for the price of a 5kx (ish).
Yup, I’m excited to do something a little different
S*it lots of boxes 😜
