It’s definitely a dark song, it’s often disguised as a cute Totoro like song to those that don’t speak Japanese but when you understand the lyrics it’s actually about a restaurant in the forest where lost souls go to have one last meal before departing this world.

Thank you very much, I tried my best to write lyrics that weren't too jarring to hear in English while also conveying the original meaning. Turns out that even in Japanese the lyrics are pretty nonsensical so i took some creative liberties :P
