Zack Wilson’s reminds me of when I first started playing madden. Locked in one receiver before the play even started and when he’s covered no backup plan, just SOL
I would say 80% of the blame falls on the O-line. Zach is running for his life almost every play. 10% goes to the WR's for not getting any separation. 10% goes to Zach for not making the right read when he does have time, but that's due to him being shell-shocked and running his life most of the game.
I think he has improved. He holds the ball too long but he atleast looks like he’s trying to protect the ball. But you can see where rodgers would be able to sling it. Just getting the ball out fast and seeing the defense before the play starts
He has gotten a little better. But I think he is being setup to fail. Lines blocking was pass poor, I saw at least four or five drops. And the defense got zero sacks, no turnovers. Top five defense my ass.
That one play in which AR held onto the ball too long and got hurt will have negative consequences for the Jets for years. Instead of sitting and learning behind AR, if things continue as is, Zach can't survive meaning that I don't think he could sit next year under AR and come back in 2025. Just the exposure to AR in training camp and preseason has helped Zach a lot but not enough. The GM and coach will probably get a pass without AR but Zach will be gone and they'll be in the market for another long term solution at QB.
Agree that he has improved but at the expense of what comes naturally to him. He can't play like he's still at BYU but the things that make him special like making plays out of the pocket is mostly gone so far this season. Justin Fields is not inaccurate in saying he's palying "too robotically". I see the same with Zach. They're trying to make him a pure pocket passer rather than just improve his pocket awareness while maintaining is natural playmaking abilities. It would have helped if he had an offensive minded head coach but I think it's way too late for him here to turn it around. I could only imagine what he would look like if Shanahan had been able to draft him to the 49ers.
Romo said over and over what I've been saying. Give the QB more passes on first down. The other team just stacks the box if they know you're going to run every time.
The Jets offensive issues are way deeper than ZW. That said, I think it’s in the interest of both parties to move on from each other. Wilson better served by better coaching and the Jets perhaps by a vet. Though dollars to donuts, I don’t think any QB exists to turn this around. Game plan is awful, RBs can’t find space (Cook is washed), line is inconsistent, WRs can’t get space, personnel is questionable. All compounded by a QB who can’t make reads.
Totally agree and they need to mix things up so he gets a little of the gunslinging mentality so hes not worrying so much every time its third down and the defense knows he has to pass. This offense is so discouraging
A day later I can see improvement. The O line needs more time to gel together. All things considered, its not like we got blown by 70 points. I think we meed to give it time to settle in, its inly week 3.
I don't think Zach played incredibly but Hackett really blew this one. Ultra conservative for 3 quarters. He finally let him play on the drive they score. Then forgot how to run the ball on that last real drive they had. First thing I said to myself was 1 minute 40 with 2 timeouts we have plenty of time, don't get 1 dimensional. Then Hackett does exactly that. Better mix of run and pass and we easily win this game.
Can I just say how much I absolutely hate the angle they show games on TV! The broadcast showed two plays where Zack “missed” open receivers. First was a check down to the back. The second was a cross that he couldn’t see because of pressure. My point is as a watcher of the game on TV NO ONE knows who is open or not. Because if that these negative takes w/o game tape proof is super frustrating.
Here's one thing I'll posit. If the Jets are going to sour on Zach Wilson, start giving him designed runs, design plays to get him MOVING. Since you're ruining his career anyway, might as well let the kid go down swinging.
As painful as this was to watch. He has improved from last years games against the pats. this game looks like the offense sucked more due to reasons more than being Zach Wilson
He's not seeing open receivers regularly, he's throwing check down passes on 4th and 10 with the game on the line and his QB rating and completion % so far this season is worse than last season which is mind blowing considering the vastly upgraded receivers.
Also his stats today were horrendous for a 3rd year 2nd over draft pick NFL starting QB. And to be fair it's nearly impossible to not improve on his stats from last season vs the Pats...all he had to do was not throw an INT and he would have improved.
When I see takes like this I have to question whether you are related to Zach Wilson or are you truly that incompetent. How can you watch this video and think to yourself, "Zach looks much improved from last years Patriots game hurrr durrrr." He looks worse! Worse than he's ever been! Are you blind?!?!?!
Lmfaooo even when he has time, he still doesn’t make good progressions/reads or throws. He’s a 3rd string QB that was drafted 2nd overall. The game is just too fast for him
Give him time!?! Zach can't get rid of the football. Enough with Zach bring in a QB who can actually read defensive coverage and go through his progressions.
Today it wasn’t the line. Once again it’s his inability to process reads at a quick pace. It also doesn’t help when the OC puts him in 2nd or 3rd and long situations.
He’s not making the right reads almost all the time, but at the same time from what I see here, the defense was damn good and the OL wasn’t giving him much. Obviously at the NFL level you need to do more, funny thing is he threw an absolute nuke into the end zone and they could’ve won the game if Cobb used 2 hands.
We had a chance to still win that game on a 60+ hell Mary launch !! We had no business still even being in a position on the last play to potentially win a game with the hell Mary… wish Cobb could have had pulled that in and rolled into the end zone, would’ve been epic!
I'm a college football nerd and stay up late every Saturday to watch games like BYU/Idaho State. I watched many Zach Wilson BYU games. Even as he was putting up great numbers in college, I knew for an absolute fact, that he was NOT an NFL QB. He would struggle for the backup job avec Les Alouettes de Montréal. Why the Jets decided to pick him 2nd overall is an indictment on the franchise's poor management. It's not so much his fault as it is the New York Jets'. You guys chose a CFL backup 2nd overall... that's on you. I have no idea why they decide to be such a lackluster franchise, but one thing I do know is that they insist on being this way.
Nobody just decides to be lackluster, for us.. shit happens. We missed on the pick and we tried to rectify it with Rodgers and now we’re back playing this pick. It is brutal
Finally someone with sense. When he has time he can make every nfl pass but hes legit running for his life every other play. His receivers are dropping balls, his o line isnt opening up running lanes but ppl make it out like wilson is the main issue. In fact the biggest problem is their offensive line, wilson is looking way better than he did last year an hes not turning the ball over
@@Exoticonly_keen quit with the excuses, it’s not easy for any NFL QB but they all do better. Wilson is awful, there’s no difference between this level of pass blocking and about half of the rest of the league.
@@MrRyan-wu4jx your ignorant to the game of football. So your saying every nfl team has the same quality of players. You dont have logic so we cant have a conversation, so the 49ers or eagles have the same quality offensive line as the jets? Your retarded
He has to understand where his one on ones are against the defenses …. Trust your wrs and throw it ….. he’s not slinging it cause he’s scared of a mistake when Rodgers would sling that rock …. Romo pointed out the throw on that 4th and 10 at the end that’s exactly what I’m talking about
Wilson missed some reads and held on to the ball at times, but their offensive line is the biggest problem on offense. would like to see the jets run more RB screens to help if teams are going to blitz.
You’re insane and didn’t watch the tape. This guy looks like the ball is glued to his hands. He needs to step up in the pocket and throw the damn ball.
O-line played well this game. You can’t expect 6 second pockets. They consistently gave him 4 seconds but he doesn’t get through progressions fast enough and isn’t rolling out of the pocket correctly
@@eroslari2916 Jets offensive line this season is ranked 24th after this game. They are below average. Wilson absolutely holds on to the ball at times and also leaves the pocket early at times, but when your o-line is also 32nd in pass block win percentage, might explain why he is running for his life and throwing short passes in a lot of the plays in the video.
He's throwing the game! 100%! You can tell his confidence was shattered about half-way through the first quarter, sometime right after the sit-down sack. He must have had enough of the abuse from the fans and teammates, and started tanking on purpose I assume out of spite. Watch this video carefully multiple times. You can totally tell, you're in deep shit Zack!
Its amazing how Rogers can have a hall of fame career and play for 18 years in greenbay and he gets to new york and plays for 3 minutes with the jets and blows out his Achilles and is out for the rest of the year its unreal you cant make this up.
Truly surprised at that, even with Cook, Hall, and a good OLine. Saleh is a defensive guy tho how could he handle a potential explosive offense with mixed personalities and a bad QB?

Sacked himself…lol (pause) Bro has improved. I get it, hate that he’s in such an infancy faze at this time. But!!!!!! He is improving. Hard to see everybody, have great pocket patience and awareness, Read the defense and get it to the right player under so much pressure from the fan base. He’s my Qb, arm talent is crazy. Up there with the best!!! Give him time he’s coming (pause) and it’ll be right on time (pause). The OC has to be better or a bit faster in bringing him along. Last week he looked a lot more comfortable in the pocket. First clip he’s in shotgun and still takes 3 steps back, step up in the pocket. I thought his throws looked alot better this season. You can tell he’s scared to throw a interception.
He doesn’t look as bad as everyone says he does. He needs to make a decision and get the ball out faster, especially behind that o-line and the OC has to run the ball to slow down the pass rush.
People talk about “defense wins championships” all day but fail to understand an O-Line is technically a part of the defense. Jets got weak o-line & run game: Its impossible to rate a QB’s true capabilities under those liabilities. The few times zack had a well protected o-line in this game, he did make good plays.
On the very first play, the receiver doesn't block on the screen on a play that would've went for second and long instead of second and short. And the first 15 plays are supposed to be rigorously practiced all week. Certainly the opening play was practiced. The Jets need to do the little things instead of blaming Wilson.
Total of 4 bad plays by Zach, 2 crossing routs to Lazard and Wilson, slightly overthrowing wilson in the end zone, the self sack, the saftey(not rly his fault but he had a check down). not sure how much better any other vet qbs would have done with pressure in their face on every snap with receivers who cant get open or catch.
ZW shows us again and again who he is. Was hoping he would play better but we need to bring in another QB now. Season already on the cusp of going off the rails after 3 weeks.
Running for his life almost every play. Offensive line sucks. Want proof? How many rushing yards did the jets have? Go ahead and get another out-of-work qb. I hope they do. Then jets fans will see that it won't matter. The season ended when Rogers went down. But I never thought Rogers would do anything. In fan, why did he go down? Because the offensive line could not protect him.
@@porcupinecraig he takes too long to throw the ball. The line gave him enough time. That's the problem. He cant process pro defenses. He's in year 3 already and he still looks awful. I'd love to be wrong about this but you know he's not the answer. ZW is not a serious QB for any team competing for the playoffs.
Ppl were worried the jets would start 0-4 with Aaron Rodgers as qb because of how hard the schedule is to start. Let’s stop overthinking and let the kid play out the season and see how it goes when he’s not playing top 5 defense
I agree that he's bad, but honestly it doesn't look like this offense would be great with Rogers either. No one was open and there was a lot of quick pressure.
I am President of "DUMP ZACH WILSON CLUB". However, I have to be honest. Whether it was play design, or bad routes run by WRs, but MOST of the time NO ONE WAS OPEN.
Everyone needs to stop acting like this is all on Zach. Once again the offensive line played horrible, receivers couldn’t get open for shit and when they did , Zach was running for his life. No run blocking, no creativity, Play calling is worse than Gase but it’s all Zach’s fault . Stop it
Literally everything that you said in this comment was the opposite, offensive line gave him enough time to throw the ball, the receivers were open on most plays including that Garrett Wilson slant pass, and the defense played great. Zach couldn’t see the field because he sucks and it was 100% his fault.
@@zedoggie3006 I was at the game, the Oline did not play great by any means, he was pressured on most drives. Yes there were some times he held on to the ball too long or didn’t hit a receiver but there were also 4 drops from Wrs, horrible run blocking , and also terrible play calling (wr route designs) & I never mentioned the defense. I’m not a fan of Wilson but he shouldn’t be our scapegoat, Hackett should be getting blasted rn
@@bdemanttt Every single qb gets pressured like that we all watched the game, I’ve seen multiple plays where there were wide open receivers especially Garett Wilson, an nfl qb gets 3 seconds to throw the ball usually at most. Wilson holds onto the goddamn ball too long and when he runs backwards as he always does it right into pressure every single time, he didn’t have to take that safety either and the defense bailed him out multiple times. No excuses, Zach had to throw to win as usual and hackett gave him the tools to do it and he couldn’t see the field that’s it. This has been happening for multiple years, Zach is forced to win the game because teams stack the box and he can’t do it, he’s 🗑️
Zach made a few minor mistakes that maybe could've been the difference (QBs often don't lose when they play perfectly). But honestly there's a lot of veteran level poise here by a guy who wasn't getting a ton of help.
It's official you know nothing about football, what are you watching he is a one read QB who can't process and melts under pressure he had time when "pressured today" he just ducks
The problem is he continues to make the same "minor" mistakes over and over. And I didn't see any examples of "veteran level poise". Veteran level poise would have been not goning 3 and out with 2:00 left in the game down by 5 starting basically at mid field or throwing a check down pass on 4th and 10 and the game on the line. I mean if you have any examples of veteran level poise I missed watching this game please give me the examples.
@@vichess7315the only reason we were in the game was because Zach said enough with this hideous coaching and zipped it around. That’s veteran level poise
He has talent. Im sure he works hard. Im sure he is a good kid. I CANNOT watch another season of him under center. Please!!! I'll take wentz over this!
Not an awful game but there isn’t much to really say honestly. Looking at the entire offense you have to see how difficult it is when you’re consistently in 3rd and long due to not being able to run the ball. Romo alluded to it but we were predictable and as soon as Hackett flipped the script the Pats were struggling with the passing game, I think Zach had a 12/15 stretch in this game. Of Zach’s 18 incompletions; 4 were dropped(2 Lazard, 1 Cobb, 1 Garrett), 6 were throwaways, 1 was the Hail Mary, 1 was batted down at the line and 1 was spiked to stop the clock. 18/23 on the other throws is good efficiency but we have to see that happen consistently. Hackett and Saleh need to allow him to play freely while trusting he’ll protect the ball when nothing is there and we gotta get this run game going but we have to use the pass to open the run because teams aren’t respecting the pass game.
This is just painful. He was gun shy, and then you look at the play at 2:04 and there is NOBODY open because the jets do a 7 man protection and send 3 routes out. How is this gonna move the ball?
Just let him run the offense like he did in the two minute . Allow Zach to play off instincts. And he ALWAYS plays better. Even if he throws a pick , that’s when he’s at his best. And that’s good enough to win with that defense BUT THEY WONG DO it
The thing about Zach is once he 3 an outs a couple times he keeps trying to make something happen sometimes you just gotta take what the defense gives you
Ryan, doing the all 22 review. Please read as you promised. First play. Sloppy field. Defense with their ears pinned back. The right play call. The right receiver. Released in one second. Delivered perfectly. And the other Wilson slips. Have to give Zach an A+ for that one. #2 Romo had this right, "all year long too much pressure given up by this offensive line." If Becton doesn't get beat, But at 2 seconds, he's got a hand in his face and he evades to the left. before he is able to set his f another rush or is tackling him . with this offensive line the best plan might very well be first time someone touches you, run . You can't blame the quarterback. So we have to give him an incomplete. I'm giving him an A eliding 2 sacks and just getting rid of the ball. A. Given two seconds in the pocket the reasonable projected stats would be , at the minimum, 2/2 12 yards. current grade A. But you can feel Jet's fans getting ready to pounce. Third attempt: 2nd and 7 on the 28. released at 2 seconds flat, ball tipped. Without the tip, It would have been right on target to Garret in an open field. If he catches it, It's a 12 yard gain at the minimum and more than enough for the first down. how can you give him less than a grade A for that one. Revised stats so far 3/3 25 yards 0 INT. can anyone argue differently ? everybody keeps saying " with just competent quarterback play … " but so far it's clear that with just a competent offense of line... fourth attempt: 3rd and 7 at the 28 , released exactly at 2 seconds. About to be hit. A dime for 10 yards and a first down. A+ on that play. Revised stats so far 4/4 30 yards 0 INT. Current Grade: A but only one fan thinks so. #5 3rd and 7 at the 42. Had time. The play everyone says he laid down on. He was spinning, surrounded, But, when he planted his feet he stayed too long on read number one. Read 1 if he passed it the receiver would have gotten killed. Read 2 not open on the right. Never made it to read 3 in the flat on the left, wide open. Probable 10 yard + gain. Instead people will probably give this a name like the only play any Jet fan remembers from Mark Sanchez. Grade. D Revised stats so far 4/4 30 yards 0 INT. *but, because of a miss by him, could have been 5/5 for 40 yards. Current Grade: B+ #6 3rd and 6 3:38 left in the first, Released at 2 seconds, not accurate enough, hit the back shoulder of Carter, if he led him might have have been a first down. But it was him against 3 defenders on a sloppy field, with backup guys. So probably not. Grade - B. Revised stats so far 5/5 34 yards 0 INT. Current Grade: B+ #7 1st and 10 at the 38. Read 1 covered underneath. Read 2 running into coverage. Read 3 not ready yet. At first glance it looks like he was. Romo said his reads were too slow. But the third read had to run around blockers and wasn't free yet. If you look you can see Zach look to where he should have been, then had to adjust to where he was, but by then he was in the grasp and who knows what would have happened if he let it go. Given the media and this fan base if he did try to force it, got hit, and gave up a pick 6... Romo said he should have. He was wrong. Even if he did read quicker the third read wasn't where he should have been. Then swallowed up for a sack. At first I thought he was too slow through the reads, could have hit a big play in the flat. But Cook was only open after the sack. And then drifted a little further after the sack to make himself look more open and did that little disappointed hop thing to make it look less like his fault. I've done that. Good acting. Bad play. Originally, because of the broadcaster, this was an F. But a closer look gives it a B+. Play calling - why not put him in a position to succeed? With this team, not just him, but this team (this time Cook late to his spot) why not. Read 1. Read2. Take off.. He isn't coached that way so since that wasn't a possibility he had to take the sack. If Cook hits his spot on time, about a 7 yard checkdown. B+ Revised stats so far 5/5 34 yards 0 INT. Current Grade: B+ but I'm guessing at this point all Jet's fans think it's an F. If Cook hits his spot, should have been 6/6 41 yards 0 INT. But then 2 mistakes of his cost a possible 2/2 extra and 17 yards so...) #8 2nd and 22. 14:11. And the BOOS BEGIN. Romo had this one right. He was about to pull the trigger on an interception but didn't throw it, causing the fluttering duck. Last 2 season's that's an INT. This season incomplete. He looks read 1. Covered. He sees read 2 and get's excited, but then realizes it's a pick if he throws it and I'm guessing he heard the Saleh Mantra, "just don't turn it over we have a defense," He changes his throw in progress to the check down, but because of the change of mind, throws a duck, because you can't reload mid pass like that in that weather. 2 second release. An perfect Elite QB makes that play with three lightning quick reads. Look 1, no. Look2, better not. Check down complete. So ... not elite, but as bad as people say? Could have played hero ball for the interception. Still Bad play. Grade C-. And I'll explain. A+ for no on the first read, F for lingering on that second one, and D for not knowing you can't reload in a hurricane. So the average is a C-. Revised stats so far 5/6 34 yards 0 INT. Current Grade: . But I'm guessing at this point all Jet's fans think it's an F. If Cook hits his spot, should have been 6/6 41 yards 0 INT. But then 2 mistakes of his cost a possible 2/2 extra and 17 yards so we'll adjust later.) At this point I think I'll stick to just grading and forget about estimated stats. Keep it in the realm of provable, instead of what if. Ryan if you're really gonna consider this with an open mind, look at the all 22 and see if I'm on target, and then have my back a little in the chat, I'll keep going but this is EXTREMELY labor intensive so I'm not gonna go further till I get a tiny bit of backup from you.
Zach Wilson looked like a teenage boy playing a grown man’s game. He was scared both mentally and physically. Scared to throw interceptions and scared to get hit. How is it that you have terrible QBs for literally decades and can’t get to the playoffs for 12 years? And when your QBs leave they play better for other teams? Y’all are toxic. If you want the best from your players, don’t destroy their confidence. Zach talked about that last year-lost all confidence in himself. I don’t blame him when his own JETS FANS ARE BOOING HIM! this one's going to take a second. Nothing looked pretty. Of course I'm gonna take the closest look at Zach. because he's the guy I keep saying is way better than everybody gives him credit for. I stick to my guns, last week he played brilliantly. This week he didn't. I have to wait to see how many guys were open that he could've thrown it to. I have to look at the all 22 film. But let's be honest. The defense that is supposed to be historic, an historic defense doesn't give up that bomb. The offensive line is still in absolute joke. but how much of that is coaching? You can't jumble everything up just days before a game. I'm an amateur, but I know I run better routes and catch better passes if I'm on the right side coming to the left. And I know that I can run to the right side better than to the left side. I know that from high school. So this switching guys from right to left, that makes a difference. For everybody who said run run run, the offensive line couldn't open up a hole. Receivers who were supposed to be blocking didn't block. The play calling was terrible, Let's bring in a new QB who won't be available to really play for a month.Or maybe if you're coaching a quarterback, who can't ever quite get to read number three, but has a really good set of wheels. Tell the kid, read one, read two, run downfield. There aren't enough fingers to point at the players who blew this game. But everybody's going to point one big finger to the one part of this team that played at least as good as his counterpart. the only part of this game they weren't better at was quarterback. But it's precisely that part of the game that everybody is going to focus on. I wish this entire team was as good as everybody thought it was. and Jets fans, can we at least get through the third possession without starting to boo. My God, the entire team is playing like crap, the coaches are coaching like crap, and all you can do is boo the quarterback and let everybody else off the hook. maybe it's because I moved out of New York when I was a kid and moved to St. Louis and watched the baseball Cardinal fans, the Cardinal fans haven't targeted and destroyed a single one of their players as long as I've been watching. But Jet fans, they pick a target, and then act like a bunch of piranhas. Everybody's still going to call me an idiot. Everybody's still going to say I have no idea. Quarterback. Quarterback. Quarterback. The team was a mess. This is all my first take. There's going to be a lot to look at over the next day or two. and if more of you tell me to shut up than not, I will.. Maybe Ryan should do a poll? I've got a whole life to live, I don't want to spend it battling with people who actually love this team as much as I do.
I agree with you that this falls on the whole team. Zack needs to play better, absolutely. But the coaches need to coach better. The OL needs to block for him. The run game has to be a positive not a negative. The defense needs to stop third and longs and get off the field and they also need to get some pressure on the opposing QBs, which might result in some turnovers. I appreciate your posts.

It wasn't just the pro day, they were scouting him that whole season. It's so frustrating because he looked great on that one drive, and then almost pulls the rabbit out of the hat with that Hail Mary at the end of the game. If he survives until next week, I hope they can do a better job of mixing up the run and pass game and be less predictable in their play calling.
@@seancunningham5448100% but imo even if he pulled off a GW drive, it wouldn’t have been good enough. This relationship between ZW and NY isn’t working, both would be better served looking elsewhere. ZW for confidence reasons, Jets to test their “1 QB away” theory.
if he had time and room to throw, plus confidence I think he could play really well. unfortunately he's not going to have a good pocket to throw from, so he needs to find a way to scramble and break containment to make some plays. I dont think he'll ever be successful playing conservative and playing w/in an offensive structure as long as the O line cant pass protect. He needs to be given permission to go out there and take some chances. run when he wants to run. Throw the deep ball from outside the pocket. It cant be any worse than what they're doing now bc that has no margin for error.
Assuming Zach Wilson remains the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, my personal Super Bowl will be Wilson being able to complete 5+ consecutive passes and going over 300 yards passing in a single game.
@@onlydbraskoTrey wasn’t bad, he was injured. Brock took his job by playing well in structure, simple as. ZW with better coaching looks better than this. Games like this one, he’s ostensibly regressed from his first season in the league. But improved over his second year, so there’s that.
@@MU-nf9tl Where did I imply Trey was bad? Trey at least has a running game that ZW is horrible at. Purdy has 3 things that made him captain voted by his teammates - guts, leadership, and IQ, all three are a must to run Shanahan's offense.

I would say 80% of the blame falls on the O-line. Zach is running for his life almost every play. 10% goes to the WR's for not getting any separation. 10% goes to Zach for not making the right read when he does have time, but that's due to him being shell-shocked and running his life most of the game.
It’s ridiculous the excuses this guy gets. He’s all time bad, get it through your head.

@@robert-ws4li I mean they give up 15 points. Can’t be on the field 40 minutes a game. Offense has to score
I counted at least 5 plays where the O-line didn't give him the chance to even get through his progression.
Thanks for the clip.
A QB with Zach Wilson's career completion % and habit of staring down receivers should be throwing less on any down.
Totally agree and they need to mix things up so he gets a little of the gunslinging mentality so hes not worrying so much every time its third down and the defense knows he has to pass. This offense is so discouraging
Still making excuses.... umbelievable! White privilege at his finest

I can see improvement. The O line needs more time to gel together. All things considered, its not like we got blown by 70 points. I think we meed to give it time to settle in, its inly week 3.

@@MrRyan-wu4jx LOL. 😂
What a mixed bag. He had some good throws particularly in the 4th...but alot of his trouble came down to him not pulling the trigger and being late.
Signs that the game is too fast for him. Which you absolutely shouldn’t be saying about a 2nd overall pick in year 3. He garbage
@@vichess7315 And he also takes bad sacks instead of finding his checkdowns. He's really bad.

“Running for his life again”, “he’s got time on this occassion”………Solid statements by the commentator.
That throw to Garrett in the redzone he needs to give him a damn chance to catch that ball. Dude rifled that in there
4:28 When Romo pauses it. Three Jet receivers on top of each other well into the progression. It's been like this Zack's entire career with the Jets.
I'm confused, in most of these it looks like the receivers aren't getting open.
Only QB that sacks himself 😂😂😂
That was the tricky Patriots using an invisible player.😂
I can’t keep watching this hit school qb run the offense. It’s a nightmare.
The Jets need to get an offensive line that can give him time to be a Quarterback
The offensive line is not good but stop it with this. It's been 3 years and Wilson has not improved even a little bit.
Today it wasn’t the line. Once again it’s his inability to process reads at a quick pace. It also doesn’t help when the OC puts him in 2nd or 3rd and long situations.
More time? 😂😂😂😂
Honestly he did a good job I was impressed
if you truly believe that you need therapy.

I agree with everything you said!!
Nobody just decides to be lackluster, for us.. shit happens. We missed on the pick and we tried to rectify it with Rodgers and now we’re back playing this pick. It is brutal
Zach looking decent actually. And very good if he has more than two seconds in the pocket.
I actually think Zach doesn’t look bad either. Its more the O line and scheme that is horrific.
Finally someone with sense. When he has time he can make every nfl pass but hes legit running for his life every other play.

Not an awful game but there isn’t much to really say honestly. Looking at the entire offense you have to see how difficult it is when you’re consistently in 3rd and long due to not being able to run the ball. Romo alluded to it but we were predictable and as soon as Hackett flipped the script the Pats were struggling with the passing game, I think Zach had a 12/15 stretch in this game. Of Zach’s 18 incompletions;
4 were dropped(2 Lazard, 1 Cobb, 1 Garrett), 6 were throwaways, 1 was the Hail Mary, 1 was batted down at the line and 1 was spiked to stop the clock.

THE O-LINE IS SENDING A MESSAGE. Open your eyes people!
Grade. D
Revised stats so far 4/4 30 yards 0 INT. *but, because of a miss by him, could have been 5/5 for 40 yards. Current Grade: B+
#6 3rd and 6 3:38 left in the first, Released at 2 seconds, not accurate enough, hit the back shoulder of Carter, if he led him might have have been a first down. But it was him against 3 defenders on a sloppy field, with backup guys. So probably not. Grade - B.
Revised stats so far 5/5 34 yards 0 INT. Current Grade: B+
#7 1st and 10 at the 38. B+
Revised stats so far 5/5 34 yards 0 INT. Current Grade: B+ but I'm guessing at this point all Jet's fans think it's an F. If Cook hits his spot, should have been 6/6 41 yards 0 INT. But then 2 mistakes of his cost a possible 2/2 extra and 17 yards so...)
#8 2nd and 22.

At this point I think I'll stick to just grading and forget about estimated stats.
Even when the offensive coordinator drew up some easy throws on short route concepts, he still didn’t pull the trigger. The check down throw on 4th down was a dead give away the kid is playing not too lose. His confidence is shot and he’s out of his league.
@@kevo1441 show me from the film that I'm wrong. Don't make accusations with no proof. I only have the first 7 plays, just legitimately refute ONE of them, or sit down. Everyone name calls, nobody successfully refutes my take
@@froofycat he immediately threw the ball away to the ground when a rusher got in his face. He wasn’t even touched at one point but felt the rush and went down on his own, giving up on the play. He played conservatively and took the check down one too many times. He looked clueless. Zero confidence in his throws. At one point he even pulled up on a throw because it was going to be intercepted and ended being an errant throw. He even checked it down on 4th down when they needed to convert! RIDICULOUS! It’s so obvious from the entire video. The proof is already there. I am not going to spend hours typing a useless comment to defend him. Your already bias in defense of this sorry QB that doesn’t belong in the NFL.

Aside from the Zach Wilson problem -- they really expected old-man Rodgers to play behind this O-line _all_ season? Really?
They need to do a few designed runs for Zach, hes got some wheels. Loosen him up to shake that stank off.
why would i wanna watch ts?
Jets fans are so whiny. Why would anyone want to play for the Jets? You don’t deserve good players. Say what you will about Zach, but something is wrong with Jets culture, including the lousy, whiny fans.
Exactly. The fans ruin whatever chance they would have had. They want a savior, but aren’t worthy of one.
Seriously. I’ve never seen a fan base with less reasons to feel a sense of entitlement and yet ironically fell the MOST entitled to a win. Like dawg, your franchise is a gutter franchise. It is what it is. It’s not JUST Darnold, or Zach, or Geno, it’s the whole thing. I’m sorry but it’s true. Lower your expectations.
Hard earned money that is why..TV subscriptions...Team gear..and merchandising, season tickets.... and undying support for many years with little to show for it... thats why! You cant keep rolling out in an inferior product and a high price and expect fans not to react. Im sorry you have to give fans what they are paying fro..Jets fans have suffered a long time...too long. Zack is Garbage...plain and simple.
You're actually retarded if you think he sucks or any jet sucks because the fan base is being /mean/
@@njz6917 They make it sound like he's in the 3rd grade!! If that's the case then he should no longer be playing pro sports.
this one's going to take a second.
@@riverman9999999 I can't tell you how much that means to me. I've been virtually crucified on this channel, and with Asman, for just taking an objective look. I've been absolutely killed. To know that even one person isn't filled with as much blind rage hate that has been relentless toward me, that helps. Thank you for being objective. Thank you for not having blinders on. Delusional Jets fans below: "He has improved", "He's better in the pocket", "He has talent"...
One of the weirdest QBs ive seen for the Jets. He plays like crap , then puts together an amazing drive and looks like a completley different QB , then plays like crap again. I really dont get this kid lol. Im still rooting for him but my goodnes... Also, Nathaniel Hackets play callinf this game was trash . Wayyy to predictable.
Joe D signed him because at the Pro day he saw the off schedule throws ( with no pass rush) loved the arm talent and was sold..= to the one good drive he gets every few games. On the other hand they never evaluate this Kid properly.....Zack never went up against devision 1 talent, and now the chickens have come home to roost..he's a bust.
It wasn't just the pro day, they were scouting him that whole season. It's so frustrating because he looked great on that one drive, and then almost pulls the rabbit out of the hat with that Hail Mary at the end of the game. How different would the vibe be if that Hail Mary hit, or if he put together one more drive at the end of the game?... But that didn't happen in this universe...
I've seen paper mache stronger than that o-line
He had plenty of time to throw the football. No excuses today period
if he had time and room to throw, plus confidence I think he could play really well. unfortunately he's not going to have a good pocket to throw from, so he needs to find a way to scramble and break containment to make some plays.
6:04 “Zach killing me y’all” 😨
That’s Garrett Wilson’s voice
Didn't catch the game, don't know the opportunities Zach missed but the throws don't look terrible. That's something, right?
Assuming Zach Wilson remains the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season, my personal Super Bowl will be Wilson being able to complete 5+ consecutive passes and going over 300 yards passing in a single game.
Put Zach Wilson on another team like San Franscisco 49ers or Miami Dolphins and he will thrive.
Dude learn football.
He's not even better than Trey Lance who got shipped out lol
@@onlydbraskoTrey wasn’t bad, he was injured. Brock took his job by playing well in structure, simple as. ZW with better coaching looks better than this. Games like this one, he’s ostensibly regressed from his first season in the league. But improved over his second year, so there’s that.
@@MU-nf9tl Where did I imply Trey was bad? Trey at least has a running game that ZW is horrible at. Purdy has 3 things that made him captain voted by his teammates - guts, leadership, and IQ, all three are a must to run Shanahan's offense.
He definitely missed some easy throws but it’s mostly the patriots defense doing good this game.
Jets need to sign Wentz or Ryan. There is no way they would be worse options than Wilson.
Zach is definitely bad but I ain’t gon lie Randall Cobb should’ve had that Hail Mary at the end lol
This is beyond incompetence.
justin fields and zach wilson walked into a bar saturday night and both walked out Sunday Morning as starting nfl quaterbacks.
Between drop balls and bad line play any qb would look terrible
