@@CarChris82 that would be good, I’m near Bournemouth if you guys fancy taking in on tour! 😁😁😁 I’ve still got a fair bit of work to do on mine to be fair.
We still can’t get the car to produce any sound at the moment (with either head unit) so auto electrician coming back this week. Hopefully all sorted by the end of the week 🤞 💰 🥲
Great video thank you. Thinking about buying the same unit myself. On other videos people have bought units with a surround trim that includes a slot to hold the airbag light. Could you tell me how this surround deals with the airbag light on the Audi TT?
Hey! Bought myself an Audi TT mk2 (2013) last summer with the intention of changing the head unit. Just ordered the same Teyes head unit as you have 2-3 weeks ago, waiting for it to arrive. Have never done anything with a car before but hoping it's an easy enough install anyway. Mostly worried about pulling the cables for reverse camera all the way back there, and also finding somewhere smart to put the external mic (hopefully in the original intented mic place above rear view mirror). Anyway hope you get yours working and looking forward to watching the video. If you get any tips for the installation please do share :)
Thanks buddy, most of the trim pieces come away easily enough, quite easy to take the glove box out too so running cables should be too bad, external mic seems best suited to by the rear view mirror. 👍
It’s with the auto electrician again at the moment so should be sorted by next week. Stereo wiring in my car had so many gremlins we decided to just get an aftermarket amp and rewire it. I’ll do a full video on the head unit as soon as it’s in.
Hi do you know if you can use the original DAB from the car without purchasing a DAB kit from teyes? My car has DAB so I want to keep it as factory as possible.
I’m assuming it does but will let you know once it’s actually installed and working, keep your eyes peeled for the next video on it and I’ll be sure to cover that for you.
Sold in Australia, Made and Shipped from China, Boots system in Russian language... nice, I wish I knew that before. Just bought the last CC3 model with all cables and extras, I get no sound from it in my car, even the professionals don't know what is wrong with it.
This is the Head Unit teyes.uk/collections/cc3/products/copy-of-audi-tt-2006-2014-cc2lplus?variant=37963271536836

Cheers Chris, I’ve watched loads of your TT videos, great work 👍

There’s not one so the airbag light will go

Mine arrived in English; suggest you get in touch with their customer support and return it mate. Sounds like you got a dud!
Exactly the same with mine! Came today, Russian language and no sound 😩
