@@user-dy1yu5gi5k It wouldn't make sense for a game like ER as big as it is in world map,content,story and scope,to do a small dlc like they did for Bloodborne of Darksouls.Thats why it took more than 2 and half years to make and costs 40 bucks.Miyazaki said in a interview the dlc was probably as big as Limgrave with W peninsula. So its massive and makes sense for a dlc for a game like Elden Ring which is massive.

In the base game, malena, godwyn and miquella were shrouded in "shadows" but now this dlc would give more context and idea to miquella. Maybe also Malena and godwyn.
Fromsoft lore gets juicier with context.

Messmer the Impaler reminds of the painting of Pandemonium - by john Martin, the original frame has a lot of snakes and the focus of the character on the painting looks like him.
The angle of the shot looks nearly identical too. Although the context seems different cause Pandemonium was depicting Satan rallying the Demons in front of the Palace of hell, while here, it seems that Messmer is sending out his forces to destroy something. Probably a city related to the Erdtree.
