He’s basically the perfect man. Handsome, intelligent, creative, amazing body, well spoken, great facial hair, talented and loves art. I’m infatuated. He’s fascinating. I got a huge actor crush right now.
I have actually seen Rana in "Rudhamadevi" and the "Baahubali" series and he does great work. This guy is not only great at being an actor, but he is very intelligent. I can see why he is very popular in India.
@PrinᑕE MAXᗯell I don’t have a favorite. I like Aishwarya Raí, Hrithik Roshan, Prabas, Shradda Kapoor, SRK, Tiger Shroff, Akshay Kumar and a bunch of others. Excuse me if I spelled any names wrong.
Rana reminds his babai venkatesh sir in many aspects like his voice, egoless attitude, simplicity and choice of roles. He's also a brave heart, he never gave up though he was blind in one eye and even in the recent health crisis. May God bless you with abundant health and happiness.
The fact that it wasn't a payed talk shows how dedicated he is to his craft. He was not boasting but providing examples with his experiences. He seems like he genuinely wants to do something for cinema.
This man RANA always willing to develope the Cinema industry. This shows his love towards ART. He is a responsible person from prestigious family never failed to impress with his experimental roles and Never used his father's power desperately wants to succeed in his own style. Even he is the main reason to promote our industry pride Bahubali in Bollywood. Finally loved his voice 😍
I have never seen any actor/actress has such kind of public speaking skills along with storytelling...he is nice Human being and underrated actor in the film industry as he has always play supportive or negative role but post watching this he is great talent which we have seen.. god bless with all the happiness
Its so fulfilling to see even as a north indian that there still exists the South Industry which works at refining the art of Cinema and not just making money.......unlike bollywood
Spoke really well and full clarity. I really appreciate his public speaking skills and the way he touched upon the evolving technology. Along with acting skills he has commendable oratory skills.
Rana has always been good at catching up and persuading people around to like and encourage the films. He doesn't have inhibitions like a 'traditional actor'. He is young at age and mind. I have high hopes for him. The only con in this video was he addressed only 'sirs' not madams 😉
Some people who are all over the comments saying its not inspirational!! people struggling and surviving in real cinema industry knows the value of his speech, its not something that helps you clear your backlogs.Ted is a platform for diverse things, choose what you want, dont make something look down, someone else will find it life changing!!

I am a person who love art and artists but not like stars. Feeling proud to be born in Andhrapradesh/Telangana and ofcourse greatest nation India. Good luck Rana, keep going!!!
Despite of being non telugu, i love rana's acting and stage presence. And he is one of southgems. Who made recognised not in india but overseas as well.
When you have invested in one technology and suddenly a new tech comes and takes over the market, then don't feel lost. Instead embrace the new tech and grow with it. He switched from conventional film to digital film. This is the one and only useful lesson or information I have learnt from this clip. Rest everything is about but the transition of cinema through different ages and how great the movie Bahubali was (true indeed). It's not a worthy Ted talk but still I like him as a fan.
So annoying to find so many negative comments below which say he's bragging, he's talking about family, he's talking about Baahubali, he need to learn more. Hello peops? He didn't pass college, was a droupout, won a Nandi for Acting, won another Nandi for VFX, won a National Award for Best Movie (production), is a successful entrepreneur, is debuting in Hollywood, has done movies in Telugu, Tamil & Hindi, will enter Malayalam soon! Is this not enough to show how successful & inspiring he is. He didn't use any of his family assets or money. He didn't get into acting through nepotism either. Stop this unnecessary hate. Get a life peops
It's really inspirational Rana daggubati 👏👏. It's the truth. That the technology as brought a change in our lifes altogether. Everyone as a story of their own but they don't know how to go about it. Rana u have really inspired us and give a chance to prove ourselves. Thanks Rana. I'm proud to say that I'm a big fan of Rana daggubati. Thank you once again 😊
Yes Rana has a good voice and he did great job. People who ever are commenting negatively please i ask you all to go there and speak. And yes please don't use your childhood memories and family. Thank you.
@Deepika : The comments section is for people to express there view on the video, not to impose your feelings on others. Some may like it and some may not.....so stop preaching to people who didn't like it.
I haven't watched Bahubali, I've read about it's commercial success and the impressive VFX. But I think I just might watch it after listening to this TED talk. This guy is someone who understands what the film industry needs in order to succeed. Great movies require you to push the envelope, and nothing does that better than innovation. Innovation comes from collaboration. Hence I understand the sentiment behind inviting all other business to share the cake, which is the huge potential of the Indian Cinema Industry.
What a spectacular speech he has delivered, no words to praise him. Many-a-times I have watched this video..and shared to my known people...still now I haven't convinced, my thirst hasn't fulfilled...that Rana's influence on me....
What a sagacious, constructive speech that could manifest the importance of entertainment businesses to every field that could ever be involved into it.
TedX Hyderabad, please invite director Sukumar. He has surely set a benchmark in film making and brought freshness to the way stories are being told. He made marvels like 1 Nenokkadine and Rangasthalam.
Nice talk Rana. Well encompassed and got your views across in a neat manner. It’s been a long road from Sabari Sannidhanam to Bahubali and thereafter, wishing you more successes. JP (swamy )
karthik srinivasan i honestly don't understand what you mean by "people like you are the reason why India is being looked down upon" 😂 he was just praising someone he likes lol. surely this wouldn't make people look down upon us just saying. There's something else happening in India atm that is making people look down upon Indians.
Meghana Moturu What he commented was just cringeworthy. A sensible person would think twice before posting such mediocre comments. I'm only seeing indians posting such mediocre comments. There are numerous knowledgeable things to say or debated upon in social media, but he chose to post a third grade cringe inducing comment. This is what i really meant, i want indians to look more knowledgeable on an international platform such as youtube.
Awesome talk!! Raana gaaru. Just my thoughts.... We're living in information age. Slowly technologies like Artificial intelligence, Manchine learning, industrial automation...etc will take away most of our jobs. But ARTS/movies is ONE THING that can't be done by machines. There gonna be bright future in ARTS domain.
I love Rana since he was played at Bhahubali movie... I love villains better than heroes... Just know that Rana is good storyteller...👍👍👍 keep it up Rana!
Awesome Rana. It's very encouraging to see you have put forward the vision of great telugu film maker and indeed a true successor for our beloved Rama Naidu garu. Kudos
:) Really appreciate the words of Mr.Rana Daggubati. Storytelling and Moviemaking have really changed the world we see today. On the other hand, I have this question >>> How does the film industry work status has changed. I know a guy, who knows a guy inside. Movie-crew, Actors, almost everyone in a film are literally from a family. So, how is that an individual from outside, is trying to fit into the industry here? Opportunities from Web-giants has filtered the talent to the peaks. Only very few could able to present well on these screens. News that we see in the news channel is compiled, but news that we see on FB/Twitter/Fwd videos is raw. Similarly, Movies are compiled, making us believe what only we have to see - shown by them. But, Web-giants have given an unbiased platform only for talent and scope. Radhika Apte, Nawazuddin Siddique, Irfan khan, Saif Ali Khan, all these actors/actresses were given a red carpet welcome. Possibly in the next future, the concept of my dad/uncle/Grandpa is a veteran actor, so I have a chance in the industry will be dissolved. Instead, true talents are welcomed. I don't work in the film industry.
