Nice. The X-Men always have fun stories no matter what universe that they are in. On a side note, I love what they are doing with Beast in the current Krakoa, X-Men run. I did side with Beast, and I do believe that he had a hero act or mindset going on with all of the things that he did because Hank is still just human, well... not human, he is a mutant, or like a second stage of humanity, but... besides the point, he is human enough, and just like everyone else, he has a breaking point. And Beast has been pushed to his breaking point. With everything that the X-Men and mutants have gone through in Marvel from Genosha to being ridiculed and hunted down and killed, it is a lot, and it would take a toll on anyone. And Hank, like the other mutants, never having peace, and having to suffer and struggle all of the time and losing teammates and loved ones, and then all of a sudden this whole Krakoa thing kicked in where Hank and the other mutants could finally have a home and peace and to actually belong somewhere and not be targeted by the world, well they were still targeted, but still, they all had a chance at actually happiness. Of course, Beast would go to the extreme to protect that because he had suffered before, and he wouldn't want to lose everything again. And even if that doesn't push him towards his breaking point, the fear and pain of what could happen will be enough to push Hank to the point of protecting his home and everything at all cost. So, really, I think that Beast was a kind of a hero through all of that, and I don't exactly blame him for defending his home. It's just... The struggle.
@MatthewLoh-ru1mw Eh... He became and extremist, we all know that, but it was for his people in a way. At least on that side of things. The whole "Death Start," experimenting on people, mutants, and aliens thing, that is when he went too far.
It was definitely unexpected but I think that was her intention. Was hoping for some more first appearances since I preordered 4 copies lol. But I’m excited to see where it goes
Was armor going to be on the new X-Men team that was slaughtered at the Hell Fire ball? I can't remember the whole team?? I heard since the Ultimate X-Men got their powers differently than the main team that they might be changing some up. Like Armor's is more a guardian spirit or something?
This is a good book, just not a good X-Men book. Especially when you consider all the other Ultimate books out right now. I feel many people will skip this book because of expectations of what they want and want they get aren’t the same.
I decided not to pick up this story line a while ago. I heard that it won't be any of the regular X-Men. Zero. So in my head I thought, well it's not an X-Men comic then. We'll see if it holds true. I imagine if sales start to slip the higher ups will force Peach to include classic X-Men characters.
I’m giving this series a shot because the issue 3 synopsis mentions Storm. Hopefully they deviate from it being based in Japan and takes them to the United States to form the team officially.
You do realize that in this new Ultimate Universe that the United States of America does not exist? There is the North American Society and the South American Society, but the US specifically does not exist.
I bought this issue from my LCS yesterday just to give it a chance. I am not a fan of manga style comic books though. I dont care for children or even young teenaged characters either. So i dont plan to continue buying Ultimate X-Men unless Peach Momoko is removed as writer and artist - she is one note and stuck on Japanese style artwork and storytelling. The only Japanese style storytelling I truly enjoy involves giant robots and kaiju.
A very morbid, uninteresting comic analogous to that horrendous 6 part Kwannen series with overclock and Sinister who promises Kwannen her daughter. It’s been 4 years, could the overclock technology have anything to do with Sinister becoming Enigma?
This ain't my jam either . Not a fan of the artwork at all ,but i see some like Momoko's work and artstyle . Not sure what they like about her artstyle but i suppose different people different tastes i guess . Not a fan of Storm's new look in the ultimate universe either on the previews ,hope they'll change it . When it comes to anime arttstyle i like Murata's work,especially what he does in One Punch Man manga . Some of the panels he makes are insane . He even has few artworks with marvel characters .

I loved Armor in the X-Men 2011 Anime. I hope they make another season soon because it was so cool looking.

definitely a confusing start on to what its gonna be but pretty intriguing and like the more creepy tone.

NO! Beast doing what he did is unforgivable and is a villain and a fascist. NONE of those things he commited are forgivable!
