    What a lovely family, glad you enjoyed Efteling so much but to be honest, I am not surprised! I come in this park since the 1960's, already as a small kid, and I remember already back then that we kids were crying at the end of the day when we went home again. I am now 62 y/o, and it even got more and more magical thru the years, so much so that my wife and I both became members for a year of The Efteling, so we can go now for the next year whenever we want with our children and grandson, although it is almost 500 km vice versa for us from where we live! Btw, my wife's favourite is Droomvlucht and mine is hands down De Vliegende Hollander, the theming inside both of these attractions is from another planet! Already subscribed after your 1st vlog and looking forward to day number 3, thumbs up from The Netherlands!!

    Python was the largest steel coaster when it first opened, but that's a long time ago, it certainly isn't anymore. It's quite usual for new Efteling attractions to be the first, largest, et cetera in Europe or even the world. Even Aquanura was the 3rd biggest water show in the world after Las Vegas and Dubai when it was opened.

    The Python (1981) was one of the first big attractions who kickstarted the growth of the Efteling. I think the Halve Maen (1982), & Spookslot (1978; Which is demolished and a version 2.0 will be build as Dance Macabre) where the others. Thats why it is lacking the theming; it was retracked in 2018; only the lifthill and break section are from the original version. And where welded together.

      But the best part of the Efteling is the character O. J. Punctuel, the lackey of Symbolica you'll see in the pre-show. There are animatronics of him, but he also used to be a meet-and-greet character. There is a very popular video of him where Pardoes is teasing him, look it up. Did you know that efteling is older than the disney parcs. Disneyland is actually based off of efteling. So all those rides on Disney are similar because the inspiration came from the efteling.

      And it is not true. Stop promoting this urban myth. Walt Disney never went to Efteling when he visited the Netherlands in 1951 (to tour the filmstudios doing the Dutch versions of the movies). Efteling was a sport and nature park with a playground back then. The Fairytale Forest opened in 1952. So ,yes, it predates Disneyland. But there is no evidence Walt Disney took any inspiration from it. He did, however, visit Tivoli Park in Copenhagen.

      @@rmyikzelf5604to be completely accurate.....Disney himself never visited the Efteling. His designerteam did visited Efteling before the build of Eurodisney

    • @Panzerairlines
      @Panzerairlines 11 месяцев назад

      That is correct; if i remember correctly Walt Disney did visit the Netherlands, but not the Efteling; however a few of the designer/employees of the Efteling have joined some Disney parks now.@@rmyikzelf5604
      "Walt’s Inspiration?
      A longstanding (and oft-repeated) legend claims that Walt Disney visited Efteling in the early 1950s and was inspired to break ground on his own theme park in California. How much of this is truth and how much is fantasy? Well, the initial conceptual drawings for Disneyland date back to at least 1948 and Uncle Walt’s muses didn’t hail from any one place. His park drew inspiration from everything including Los Angeles’ Griffith Park to Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. However, there’s at least a small possibility that he may have made it to Efteling. Walt and his family toured the Netherlands at least once in the ‘50s but, according to this old news clip, he was more focused on visiting the studio that was handling the Dutch dubbing for his company’s films."
      According to www.dutchnews.nl/2017/05/10-things-you-dont-yet-know-about-the-efteling-theme-park/ and the video: ruclips.net/video/UeKKBXKs5Bw/видео.html

      They are two very different parks. Efteling has enchantment, classic fairy tales and is the more relaxing park. Disneyland has wonderful characters, parades, the connections to movie and TV, all with it’s own magic, but is also very commercialised.

      They are two very different parks. Disneyland has the rides and lands based on movies, along with the parades and shows. It is very magical, but also very commercialised, expensive and busy. Efteling feels a lot more calm and relaxing, with all its own magic.
      We do not think they are comparable and complement each other well. We love them both! ♥️
