Seems to me in my limited experience that one of the big reasons why these faults happen in the first place is because your back swing starts to outside and high.

When lowering hands start of downswing before turning body, am i suppose to accelerate my arms coming down during downswing and deaccelerate to change the path of the club? Thanks

I don't think that will help the most people that swing over there top.
The shoulders won't want to move differently because they don't know it.
People usually can't move their upper body separated from lower body and this exercise won't teach them how to do it.
I recommend for the normal amateur to throw a medicine ball behind without hips
And or move a steering wheel also without much hip or leg involvement so that they can discover the tilts and turns the upper body needs to make.
They usually can't swing inside out because they just don't know how to do it Nad what muscles to use.

I think you're right. It's fine to turn the body back as a unit, but in the transition the hips need to move before the shoulders do. Tom Watson called this separation. Without it, we will all always be OTT swingers.
