Thanks for the Green light tip. I got this two weeks ago and had not noticed it. Appreciate al the hard work and effort that goes into making your videos. All the best! Subscribed.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for this incredibly helpful and insightful review of the X-T1. I almost gave up on RUclips because there are so much reviews of this camera that are either hyped, or just pure marketing. I'm going to purchase the X-T1 today, and thanks again for this helpful video.
Its funny when I watch other people review this camera, they never mention these tips but are quick to complain about the battery life, are you the only reviewer to ever read the manual !!!...just saying.........great video, thanks Toby.
When you use back button autofocusing during manual mode - is it as quick and snappy as compared to when you would otherwise use a half-press on the shutter button in an autofucus mode?
thanks for the last tip. about the EVF + sencor with Green light tip. I figured that saving battery is quite an issue. (where, I normally don't use lcd at all)
Thanks for this great video, I have only one question regarding new FW4 AF modes. In either Zone or Wide/Tracking modes, When half-pressing shutter release, sometime several autofocus points (green boxes) are highlighted in green showing they achieved focus - my question is: which one of those boxes the camera is actually locking into for the exposure ? Sometimes there will be several boxes highlighted in a zone or wide/tracking - some will lock on objects in the front and some locked on objects in the rear - when I fully press the shutter release - which of those boxes is actually used by the camera as the focus point ? Couldn't find explanation for this in all Fuji manuals
Hello, quick question, on the cam's battery management: Could you tell if, when gripped, 1 battery inside the body, and one inside the grip, the cam will only use one up to the end and then use the other, or gradually use both at the same time? thanks!
I've seen it will use it up to the end end switch over, so when I get close to it dying, and its been red for a while, I'll just switch it to another already charged up battery just to make sure I dont miss anything.
I just picked up the XT1 took some shots and tried uploading them to one of my favorite sites, it would not work as it says image size too small. Is there a way to increase the image size in camera? Thx
I waited until the hype finally died down and got the xt-1...I had the xpro, still have the x100s( favorite camera of all time)...I love the xt-1, love the fuji lenses...love fuji in that they seem to listen to feedback...rumored that next firmware update is going to be awesome for xt-1. Great review...maybe you noted and I did not catch, but yes, the Canon 5D MkIII is amazing camera but it costs a little more than the fuji. By the way, I noticed in another youtube you did on Think before you click that I recognized that graffiti filled alleyway you were in...I travel to Brattleboro frequently...would be nice to meet up with you for a coffee someday...
Thanks s bunch, I also have the X-10, but I am so glad I picked up the X-T1. Keep up the good, and valuable work...
Thanks so much for the back button focus tip. I use bbf on my Canon 5d Mk11 and love it.

I have a question , fujifilm xt-1 supports using it to stream with elgato ?
wish you showed how you can get to those tips...my first fuji and learning curve is quite stiff...
By changing the size of focus point to large, did you get a better speed in autofocus?
I didn't notice a difference - I just like that you can get quite precise when needed.
my x100s gets better speed with a larger focus point. I'm glad fuji improved on this.
Thanks a lot for your tips!

David Yeiter You recognized the alley! Happy to have a chat with you sometime. And yes, the 5DM3 is more $$ and loads more weight.
Resolution is pixelated from 0:15 to 1:40?
Thanks for the tips :)
