  • Just a look at some old radios I used for satellite communications years ago. Was going to upload on Christmas eve but I quickly came down with a stomach bug and have had no energy to do anything since.

Thanx Buddy. Can't help but to admire a guy who can fix a Yaesu & also an automatic transmission.

It's amazing how time flies in the Radio World. I just cannot keep up with the technology. Price of kit becomes a major problem on a pension. I used to sat tracking in and around 1983, Oscar sat, Uosat etc. Digitalkers. Cheers from old George

Lightening got my Dad's Penetrator 200 amp and a Layeffette base station 40 channel CB radio. I still have both but they'll probably never see life again. Cheers from eastern TN

When I lived in Beaufort Co. NC I also knew Doug (N$CZT) we also worked the birds and spoke on 2m and 6 meters just about every night. You joined us several times on 2 or 6 m. Doug was a great guy and miss still today. 73, N5ODX (formally KG4ODX)

I'd love to know half of what you do about radio, electronics etc. I started when I was a kid, but got away from it for too many years. I'm so thankful for your sharing so much with all of us!
    May God Bless You

Thank you for the story you are telling about your long ham time. I have only been a ham for about 8 years, but I am 70 years old, and I love to be a ham. I have repeard an old Icom 725 I have here in the beginning, but now I have an IC-7300, a Icom 7100 and a Yeaseu FT 817 andsome handhelds vhf and uhf radios. You can also repear old radios with tubes in it, and I love your work there. I will wish you a Happy hollyday and a happy New Year! Thank's for the vid's! You have a lot of radio skills!! The best from LB1NH in Oslo Norway! 🙂

Thanks for the trip down from the past. We have a FT-726 and a FT-736R at the club station along with a satellite antenna with both rotors. These have not been used for about 25 years. Antennas are broken and need repair. I think we have only the 2 meter module in one on the radios. I am going over to the club station tomorrow and take a better look at those radios. Thanks again for stirring up old memories and peaking my interest on satellites.

Happy New Year Buddy. Enjoyed your trip down radio memory lane. You were really into sat coms at one time from your stories. Nice seeing all those great radios from the early days. Looking at all the test gear in the background was an additional treat. Best wishes for a great 2024,

HI Buddy, it's good to see you feeling better. I hope you had a great Christmas. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. I had a TS-2000 for a while but I didn't like it much. I thought the menu system was too complex. But, it did work well. 73 to you and yours. Hope you have a Happy and prosperous New Year. DE Frank, K7RMJ
