Welcome to my Channel - In this video I show you & demonstrate my New Avtex Tourer Two Sat Nav for Caravans & motorhomes, The sat nav has lots of caravan sites already programmed into it using the caravan & motorhome club network of main site & also CL sites, you can also use ACSI sites & Trip advisor to find none Caravan & Motorhome club sites.

Hi Andrew, at first I thought what the hell has he bought that for when the car has navigation then carried on watching and makes sense now.
If you wouldn’t mind me asking what do you think of the Ford Kuga as an everyday car ? I’m looking to get rid of my Golf and getting a Kuga as I’m disabled and need a car that isn’t as low as the Golf. Never had a Ford before so just wanted your opinion on what you think of it and if you had the chance would you buy one again.
To be honest it's the best car I've had & the most expensive, easier to get in and out of as it's a bit higher, great as an every day car & from the one tow I have done on a short distance or handles well, longer tow soon off to Bridlington 👍😁

Time will tell, I have put in another couple of routes we're I know the car & caravan won't fit & it's diverted around a different way, I suppose the proof will be when we are going somewhere to see if it misses low bridges & narrow roads, unless the sites on a narrow road of course 👍😁

Yes live traffic is great, informed us of accident today on the way to Bridlington but had been cleared by time we got there 👍

Thanks Andrew, just purchased the Tourer 2 after previously using a caravan specific iPhone app that has an annual fee.
Looking forward to using it tomorrow for the first time as we pop off to Grooby’s Pit in Lincs for a week, 🤞🏻 it does what it’s paid to do.

It will be our first long tow trip tomorrow we're off to Bridlington, I did a test with the old cheap lorry Sat Nav set to same sizes and it took me up the 6'-6" Road, so hopefully this will work OK. I will still do a little homework on the site location if we have never been to it, enjoy your time at Groobys pit, that's a site I have not been to yet 👍
Great device Andrew, but here’s a tip.
The Caravan Club site POI’s in the device only use the site postcode for directions.
Be sure to check individual site final approach instructions in your Caravan Club handbook/device or website. Some will differ from the devices chosen route 👍
Thanks for that advice, I do Google Street view & check the site arrival instructions on unfamiliar trips, I had a few scary moments in our previous 7.5 mtr with the cheap lorry sat nav 👍

I have done a couple more routes as a trial, not driving though and it has diverted me a different way from narrow road and low bridge 😁👍

Morning Andrew,Can you give me an update on how the Avtex is performing? I’ve just had a narrow lane situation and realised I need to update my Nav.😂 Any kind of update would be greatly appreciated. Hope you two are well.
All good, did have a hiccup in Ireland, my fault it was set to no Tolls & ended up going through Dublin instead of the M50 Toll, also did a wobbly on approach to Blarney caravan site, took us past Blarney turn off & told us to turn right a little up the road, turned out to be Not suitable for HGV'S, but could not reverse out onto main carriageway it was a narrow road but not to long before it widened up again, apart from that it's been OK 👍

Their a good bit of kit Andrew but not infallible we were diverted by roadworks and the route it chose was a definite when not to listen to sat nav one 😳

Yes, modern technology is OK, but still have to resort to the good old paper map, at least if we go wrong it save on having a domestic as its satnavs fault 😂👍
Hi Andrew. I have the earlier version and agree it's a FANTASTIC piece of kit. Unfortunately i've hit a problem that may or may not affect the newer version. If you have a heated windscreen in your vehicle it totally blocks the GPS reception. I did a 100 mile round trip the other day with the Satnav still saying I was at home. Sadly I don't think there's a port for an external antennae. Still looking for a solution before I part with it though.

Try giving Garmin a call to see if they can offer a solution 👍

Hi Andrew . We are thinking of buying one of these . I think it’s called the tourer 3 now. Have you been happy with it ? Has it ever taken you down a road or lane that wasn’t suitable . Any advice greatly appreciated.Love the videos. 👍
Yes it has - It took me on some lovely roads over in Ireland, I have some videos on the channel - Changed setting to over 7.5 Tonne and it seems to be OK now, Thanks for watching my videos, here are a couple of videos of Sat Nav disasters in Ireland.

Never really thought about giving an update on how it's been for us - May be in the future

The video was made over a year ago so I suppose it would probably be a good idea to do an update a year on 👍

I brought one in July after getting horribly lost in Cornwall in June. So I set it to go to freshwater East caravan and motorhome club site from Kent. We got lost in Wales. Near the site. Had to reset sat nav 3 times before it got us to the right place. I hope it does better next time I use it?
Sorry to here that, luckily I have a good navigator in the passengers seat, Karen follows the route on the map, at least now if we go wrong it's the satnavs fault 🤣😂🤣

Yes not cheap but very good, I think version 3 is out now 👍

Hi Jackie, no I've not had any issues (Yet) but I still use the recommended directions to the site as given on booking form, you can get cheaper one's (I had one it did take me down narrow roads) . Yes I would recommend one but it depends on your budget & finances, thank you for watching
