Mike flew over to Japan just to write this song with Maids. According to Saiki, Mike talked to each Maid and asked about what kind of music they listen to. They also did jam sessions, and Mike asked them if they liked the particular guitar riff he played. According to Kanami, the guitar riff in this song was made by Mike. So, Alan, you are right about that!
Guys, all I know is if heaven looks and sounds like this, I had better clean up my act. The sound is beautiful, the lyrics while simple are beautiful, the setting is beautiful, and the Maids are obviously beautiful. What a beautiful, ethereal, and even angelic video. Kanami even takes us soaring into the heavens with her gossamer lace "angel wings".
Miku uses the 5150 and, except for some rental Marshall’s on tour, has stuck with it for most of her career. Kanami had her long time triple rec until just last year when she started using a Bogner. BTW, Misa also switched from Orange to Aguilar at the beginning of last years’s 10th anniversary tour at TGT.
[Bestie, co-written by Michael Einziger of Incubus.] MISA's playing and bass tone are setting new standards... and Akane's drumming is so in-the-pocket and distinguishable... and Kanami's solo is Daydreaming masterful! The recording and mix are as enjoyable as the song and beautiful MV! Miku’s English lyrics (I bet with Saiki and Mikey-chan's influence) are heartfelt. "I can't look into your eyes." Is Band-Maid a band of fashion-forward, trend-setting Besties? 💞 Thx, Mikey & Band-Maid! FYI - The Maids just released a "Making of Bestie" on their websites where they explain the song and look of their awesome MV. Thx, Guys!
The first time that I noticed the Bogner amp was during the Yokahama Arena stream. Kanami also talks about buying that amp during the Yokohama Arena documentary that comes with the limited BluRay edition.
Yes- they all changed their gear recently, they had- Miku- EVH. Kanami- Mesa Boogie Triple Rec. Misa changed from Orange some time ago, or at least the cabs. The band said that it took around 12 hours to shoot- early morning to evening.
Kanami switched from a Mesa Triple to Bogner a year ago. Miku has used a 5150 since somewhere in 2018 maybe? I think she used a Marshall only before that.
The fact that the statement about Conqueror being an older album is true is so frustrating. I have STILL not seen this band anywhere except on my screen! Grrrr.

I think the incubus-y guitar tone is a 1st for them, as is the amount of vocal layering. It really works for this song.
during the 3-part vocals it looked like Kanami and Akane were singing
A perfect colab Band-Maid with some Mikey-Chan sauce in the mix.

You guys need to get back to Band Maid more often ❤

I saw them live for the first time and they were amazing. If you can see them live.
@@jasonjohnson8687 You're not helping 🤨😉
Isn't this the first Band Maid song sung totally in English? Beautiful in any language, due to Saiki's lovely voice.
Think it is the 3rd all english. The dragon cries and dont let me down are the other two i believe.

Miku uses a a EVH & Kanami used to use a Mesa Boogie.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩❤👏🙏
🥰🤘🤗👍😁🕊️👀
Kanami just switched to a Bogner head for its tone. She went gear shopping and liked the Bogner's range of tone.
