One of my favorite songs of all times. The hook of the guitar is perfect with the hook of the lyrics.

Bob Mould is a genius. Absolutely love Copper Blue. This is not even the strongest track on the record.

I am amazed that professional mix engineers at BBC would end up with a mix like that..

What do you want, a cd. It's live, through your tv. Any sugar on tv is great.

Internal BBC regulations probably restricted them from turning any knobs or adjusting any faders.

Bob is great, but I never really understood why he choose to change the vocal melodies so drastically live, the line in the recording is what really drives this song.

The band were too loud for the studio and mixers according to Bob mould

Must be, because it's one of my faves from Copper Blue + the live performance pales big time vs album.

Soundtrack of my college. This and Pharcyde. Granted, I went to U of MN, so I'm a bit biased to Bob Mould.

Even though the drummer is shite, it all just works.

The drummer plays pretty simple, but he serves the song well.

@@eduardomata8143 Malcolm Travis was a powerhouse drummer if you listen to Sugars Beaster / especially 'Live ' album which comes with 'Copper Blue Remaster' cd. Yeah they all play a bit 'lazy' or 'relaxed' in here. Btw, Malcolm is a very nice and wise guy, as my Fb - friend he is
      :)
