Thats correct but its also because they dont experiment so much , i mean the only times they tried to experiment with new songwriting were galery and skeletal domain, chris albums are undeniably good, but with George the songwriting changed and after that they always went for safe songwriting, it seems they are just aplying on this record a few musical signatures and styles they performed on previous albums, this record a natural evolution of their music

I’m a little late to the party... I just saw that the lead dude from Hate Eternal (one of my fav bands) became the full time guitarist for CC and he wrote 3 songs on this new album. I’m f’n excited!!

Because of the cencorship discussion in the video:
CC always had alternate Covers because of the BPjS (Bundesbehörde für Jugengefährdente Medien) in Germany and other Countries like Russia who banned the Albums mostly because of the Gore on the Covers and Merchandise (yep they even had alternate Shirts because of that)
For me its so ridicolous that for example boobs and nudity here in German speaking countries are completely acceptable - but a lil bit Gore is a big Problem for the bureaucrats lol - while in america you see 1 Nipple it gets automatically a problem.

Brilliant song. Can't wait for the cover to be censored in Germany. Lots of their albums are on the index or only allowed with alternative covers here in Germany.
In Germany they werent even allowed to play songs from the first three albums for years. So for a long time german fans couldnt hear "Hammer smashed face" live. What a pity! Thankfully they can play it now.

The start reminds me of the track "Dechristianize" by the band Vital Remains. Good riffs on this track, but just average and not a remarkable track, but still don´t like his Vocals, matter of taste. Maybe it's because one of my friends said he sounded like a Sealion...Lol, now its just stuck to my head. George the Corpsegrinder Sealion.
I think this track its good for a band that has been around for 30 years with 14 albums.. i couldnt expect more man, lets be honest. but i Highly agree with George vocals, they are consistent and is one of the reasons the band has remained consitent too , but he sounds always the same since his very first album with the band and imo his growls are very raspy and louder than they should be for cannibal, cannibal was ok with the low pitched and crunchy barnes growling, i dont like fisher but its also true that if barnes would have been still on the band their music could have been very inconsistent and poor in terms of vocals after a while..
Someone with the vocal style of Glen benton or similar to Frank Mullen could be also a great replacement for barnes in cannibal

Cannibal Corpse is not the same, the best albums hands down, eaten back to life, butchered at birth, tomb of the mutilated and the bleeding, new stuff is ok but not as good as the older stuff
I agree but It's good enough sir for 2021 since of the whole censorship and cancel culture. It's not like if they slowed down like Metallica. its crazy how everything is getting censored.

I can agree things are getting censored more, but there is much more intense and just better sounding death metal bands out there, Nyktophobia, Fleshgod, Bloodtruth, just to name a few and way more brutal and powerful then Cannibal
