Thanks 🙏👍 Yea I already did this twice on this car, plus did it on 5 other bmw models ranging from early 2000's all the way to 2020's year models very common oil leak source on BMW.
thanks for all your videos. would there be a way to tell which tps is bad? do you know if the front and rear have separate codes? they’re not too expensive but it would be easier to just do the front for now
They do have separate codes however sometimes they don’t show up like in my situation, I would do front one cause it’s the easiest to start unless I had other reasons to take airbox out like I did. Thanks glad I was able to help 😊🙏
@@MotorsportInspired thanks for the answer. I need to do the same with my Z4M. I get a little bit of a hesitation at part throttle around 2.2k revs. I also have a CSL intake.
Hi, Like I mentioned in the video I wasn't getting any error codes, however its very common not to display any codes until sensor is dead, and I started to experience intermediate hesitation on light partial throttle, when I ran gauge on torque app for throttle position reading, with light input while pressure on the pedal remained constant reading would sometimes drop from 4% to 0% and that when hesitation would would start, but as soon I would apply more gas it would go away it was only at light throttle input which I never had happen prior. since TPS were original and Im doing gasket anyway I changed the rear one just to be safe. After taking a drive yesterday I think that might have be the culprit actually because I did not experience any of the above symptoms plus throttle response seems to crisper sharp as knife compared to before. I'm glad I changed it know😊
Love the videos man!!
Thank you 🙏
Great tutorial, didn't know this was a leak point on the S54!

Great video man < love the S54 !
Thank you 🙏 one of the best engines created to date 💪😁
do you have to remove the radiator fan for reaching those pulley bolts?
Yes you absolutely have too no room otherwise
Do you have the partnr and link for the rear TPS? And is it the same as the front at the oil filterhousing?
Hi, here's a link for the sensor ttps://ebay.us/ufY0N0 part #13637840383 it is the same as the front one
Hi, how are you finding the new sensor improving your hesitation problem?
Hi, it completely resolved the issue no more hesitation I’m quite happy I did replace it. 👍😊

Is the part now number for tps at the front n back the same?
Yes sir that is core same part number 💪👍
What check engine code were you getting for the tps sensor?
