Sacagawea is such an inspiration. Without her, the explorers wouldn't've survived.

She was a vital part of their expedition and they treated her with much respect. Even looked after her baby that was born during the expedition.

A big misconception being perpetrated the last few years is the idea that without Sacajawea the Corps of Discovery would have been doomed. Not true at all!

Thank you!! She was there for one reason and one reason only, to translate to her Shoshone people. Which she did admirably but that's it.

Seems to be lots of history being rewritten these days. These honorable stories of trials and tribulations and pain agony and trauma are now being painted with a broad brush and one word being used. “Colonizer”. The tribes were already conquering one another for centuries before Europeans arrived. I hate the non nuanced way modern progressives paint the past as black and white, oppressor verses oppressed, when it was not like that.

Your title of this video with it's negativity & denigration of these historical figures is not appropriate at all & you really should change it. You should show respect & celebrate all 4 human beings not denigrate 3 or 2 in order to elevate the one

Being offended is a choice. Not a right.

@Seeker's GuidePost It is because of their bravery, the American west is as developed as it is today.
