Thank you for what your nation has given to the richness of America. Thank you for all that you have done as a nation. I am part Cherokee and Ojibwa, possibly Cree and Sioux as well. When the Cherokee were driven out of their lands some ran to the mountains to hide, some who looked white enough blended in with the white settlers and ripped out their linage that linked them to the Cherokee and other Native Nations. My family was one of the latter. It’s always been said in the family how terribly hard it was to have to say good bye to those who made the march to the west. It was indeed a sorrowful time. One that still pains the hearts of those of us living so many years later. I’m still trying to piece that info together, but unfortunately it may be lost completely, but I will continue to search for my loved ones. God bless, and again, thank you.
