There was one of these around the movie theater back in the day. Same name, same pizza, same decor...
Friends and I would eat there before/after movies. It was over 10 years ago, but I can still remember the flavor. I always thought it was something they added to the sauce, but I could never put my finger on it. We all ate there, semi-regularly, but we were kids.
The consistency of the dough was EXACTLY the same: crispy/almost burned on bottom, mushy and uncooked on top. It was best to just not think about it.

No you don't necessarily need to put on gloves if handling food.
I don't know if you got different regulations on that in the US but most restaurant chefs hardly ever wear gloves.
There are also studys that say wearing gloves in a kitchen is in fact less hygienic than just using your hands and wash them from time to time or if needed.
