I literally cringe every time Jake says his bathroom review line purely because it’s so loud and like everyone can probably hear him. The thought of me doing that gives me chills

The noodles were made that way it's called pasta aigliolio(probably not spelling it right) and they are cooked in oil and some chopped garlic cloves. Those noodles normally go good with seafood. Every year on christmas my grandmother makes the pasta and shrimp.
One thing irritated me a little is when Brennan complained about the pasta being "tasteless"=with no sauce. He said it's mainly oil on them. Come on, you're eating authentic Italian cuisine. They don't slap heavy sauces and seasoning on all their dishes. Alot of food is served light; solely with olive oil, etc. Gotta keep that in mind. If you don't know the cuisine you're reviewing that well, judge with an open mind. Or research the cuisine! I really like these guys and enjoy their reviews, otherwise.
Never eat clams, mussels or any other shellfish that hasn’t opened when cooked. That’s why you got that crap on your plate and you can also get very sick! (It’s not the restaurants fault, that’s just how shellfish roll).
I love Brennen and Jake but I feel like they need to educate themselves about food and the way it’s prepared just a little more. It could really help them review the food much better. So much of tasting food is knowing how it’s suppose to be prepared and taste. Just my humble opinion.

Just wanted to say, I grew up in Maine, which is known for seafood, and you never, ever pry open a clam or mussel that didn't open when cooked. Sometimes one does slip through, because the cooks aren't going pawing through your plate before serving, but...yeah, don't do that. lol
The Crab Diablo is done wit AOP (Aglio, Olio e peperoncino) sauce which is olive oil, garlic and chilli flakes. A good combo with fresh crab, where you can feel more of the meat flavors and freshness of pasta than dominating the dish with some creamy texture.
Soto is our favorite restaurant in San Francisco. We live in graeagle California and we drive down there just for the food!! If you haven't been there you have to try it out, it's like going to a party every time we go there!
