I'm in the process to trade ny Ford RR and going back to gmc. RR drives almost like sport suv. Unfortunately, I was wrong when it came to usability for work. I found black elevation with premium pkg and duramax, and it looks like a good deal. I'll paint Chrome in black and keep red since I want some color on black. Now, question: Did you try to use the power washer on that painted logos, i think this is a cheaper option and can be easily redone. Thx
Do you mean like use a power washer to wash the truck after they were painted? I have not. But I have had badges plastidipped for 3+ years going through weekly automated car washes on a previous truck without issue
I get rid of all my badges. Why do you leave dealer badge?
Interested to know how paint holds up through car washes.
@@colombiabound1633 I had another truck done for 3 years with weekly auto brush car washes without problems. All about doing it right from the start 👍
does the 3.0 Duramax have cylinder deactivation like the 5.3 and 6.2?
Nope!
@@nikkicovack awesome, thank you

How long did u wait before peeling it off??
@@mikebroek2177 until it’s dry to the touch, maybe 15-30 minutes. Depends on the temperature, humidity etc though for how long
looks like my exact car because its a denali uktimate the badges are black
Curious how that plasti dip will hold up to diesel regen temps, have the stuff to do my emblems and high temp paint for the exhaust tips
I will definitely update if I notice an issue, but first few weeks and 1,500 miles all good so far!
@@nikkicovack awesome, had mine a year and I will say it’s much better without that warranty if ya know what I mean😂
What about the front emblem?
I have not done that one yet. I can make a video on it if it would be helpful? Essentially the same process as the rear emblems though
@@nikkicovackYes please. I do find it harder to do because of messing anything up under the hood
@@luiscampos9144 can do!
