- If you want to WIN the greencard lottery, you have to enter the lottery. But more than half the applications get rejected at the first stage because their photos don't meet the requirements!!

In the video I show you a couple of online pages that will process your photo for a small fee, but you can also take a photo yourself for free as long as you can create a white background.

Upload photo to your computer then crop on the dv website, save on pc then upload on the application site

In first name , last name,surname and place of birth we should write all the information in capital letters
In passport it’s all written in capital letters
Or it’s ok to write in small letters except the first letter ?
Great Simon, I simply used the VisaFoto-Tool for my picture and I think that 5 Euros (or 7 Dollars) is a reasonable price since I don't want to spend the whole day creating an own picture without knowing if I got all the requirements right.
I have a further general question on the DV program 2025: does it mean that in case that I win the actual lottery in May 2024 I had the right to enter the States in 2025 at the earliest? Thanks
For the DV2025 program the very earliest interviews will be in October 2024, so in theory people could start entering after those interviews in 2024, i.e. before 2025.

Simon, please I've a problem can you advice me on DS-260 forms. A friend of mine helped me to fill my ds 260 and I had a problem with him. So going to the interview, I didn't have the access to my print out ds-260 to attend interview so I went to the interview without my ds-260and have been asked to come again ds 260 what should I do . Though I went to the interview alright but my Ds-260 is hackjacked because of my friend. I've been asked come again with this DS 260. What should I do now. Please advice me.

I have used visafoto, however the photo has been rejected by the photo tool saying your photo doesn’t need to be cropped. What is my options?
If it stated that it does not need to be crop it's b cuz it passed. I to was in panic when I saw it came up in blue when I put my son pic in. It stated that something I thought it rejected it, but my gf said it's qualified.

Choose the closest match, but don't worry about it - the question is not important for selection or processing.

Hi simon, thank you for the great tips and tricks. One qustion, the crop tool in the website doesn’t completely match the requirements, You see the face should be maximum 69percent of the whole photo height but when the website crops your photo (the one that you manually place those eyes on your face) the face is something between 70 to 72 percent of height, so can we trust the photo tool on website? Or the photo cropped by the state government website is acceptable?
It will be acceptable - there is some tolerance because people measure the face differently.

I have this concern every year about the proportions of the face. I have a rectangular face and the rest of my family have smaller faces. Even using visa fork I feel like my head doesn’t fit right…

Beards are OK, but only if they don't entirely cover your face.

No - that person would not list the man, but would list the kids. The man could also enter the lottery and should list the children too. If they get selected, they can marry and process together.

Hi Mr.Simon, I'm the winner of the DV24, but in my photo (which I already won with that photo) there is a little shadow of mine at the background. Could this be the problem in the interview?
It already made it through the automatic checking - so it is unlikely that it would cause a problem at interview.

Yes - but as I show in the video you have to be careful to not alter the appearance of the subject in any way.
