Thank you doctor! It was a beautiful illustration! I am a dermatology resident doctor from India and have found this video very useful to start with my basics of lasers.
Soooo informative!! Thank you! Great explanation and science behind each laser. What do you recommend for black ink removal on black/dark skinned people like myself?💁🏽♀️
Hello dr, where is your clinic? Pls share the location. Also how many treatments should we do to see a difference? After the 1st treatment can we see a difference with our normal sight?lets say for patches in leg, using a daily good pico machine👍
I had the picosure laser done for my asian skin and the results were awful because the Esthetician neglected to put me on a whitening cream prior to treatment. My results were Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation
For laser treatment also lies a lot on the hands of the practitioner and ability to identified the type of pigmentation that you have. Picosure does not tackle all types in fact and some would adverse results. Hence in our clinic, we need a repertoire of lasers to deal with different type pigmentation.
When a pico laser is used for hyperpigmentation, specifically around the mouth due to genetics being Indian, how long do results last? Are results temporary or more long term/permanent?
Thank you for watching! It really depends on a variety of factors. I will only be able to customised different lasers and wavelength according to each individual.
Hi Deckyi, similar to tattoo removal, it depends on the colour of the tattoo, how long it has been and the technique the tattoo artist uses. Best to see a doctor for a more detailed assessment and recommendation. Choose a clinic that offers various type of laser machines to remove the tattoo.
Hi doc, I have a nine month old hypertrophic scar. I am done with my 6 months triamcinolone shots. Though it is still slightly raised but now I am concerned with the pigmentation. I am planning to have a laser treatment. What type of laser can you recommend for raised scars? Thanks you for your answer. God Bless!
Hi Rowena, there are multiple treatments available for raised scars. It is best to speak to your local doctor for a proper physical assessment in order to devise a suitable treatment plan for your concerns.
Very informative! Do you know the difference between 532nm Nd:Yag and 532nm KTP in terms of safety? I'm trying to get rid of a vascular scar, to which I've heard 532nm KTP is the best, but I wonder about risks of PIH (I'm European skin type II-III).
This video is fantastic. What would you use to soften a scalp micro pigmented hairline that is a little too dark ? So to just remove some pigment and not all of it...
hello doctor! i have a question about the pico laser. i know q switch yag is good for treat onychomycoses. Pico laser can be use for onychomycose too? thank you! grat video btw
There are multiple treatments to treat rolling scars and ice pick scars apart from lasers. Energy-based devices such as ablative radiofrequency microneedling and many others can also be an alternative to treating scarring. It is best to speak to your doctor for a proper assessment and treatment plan.
Do you know anything about the Neatcell lasers? I'm looking at these for tattoo removal. I've already gone to a professional for 6 q switched sessions. Thanks.
Hi Chris, Neatcell is a home laser pen. Home machines are always underpowered so if you have not seen any results with Q switch lasers the home machines are unlikely to show any results. You may need a laser machine of a different wavelength or a more powerful laser-like a picosecond laser.
Dr. I made one session with alexandrite laser face freckles. 80% came off. My face still have freckles. It is good another session from same laser o can I to change to picosure?
Hi Serena, Thank you for your message. As there are different types of acne scars such as icepick, box scar, rolling scars..etc, the treatment very much depends on the severity of the scars you have. We recommend consulting your local aesthetic physician to advise a suitable treatment plan for you. Alternatively, you can also check out our acne scars video to learn more! :)
To remove tattoo is one of the most pathetic jobs. making a permanent tattoo seems so great but actually it is really pathetic to me. one of my friend had a tattoo on his forearms. after a while he started resenting it and couldnt get to remove it.>>> TattooRemovalGuide5.blogspot.com I bought th.is guide or him and thankfully now his tattoos is removed
Hi, You can also check out our other video on which is the best lasers for pigmentation/melasma in the link below; ruclips.net/video/dOjNUdRBSuc/видео.html Thank you!
Hi Brian, here are the following reasons why ink cannot be destroyed in just one session. 1) The positioning of your tattoo - The placement of the tattoo can determine the effectiveness of the lasers such as the face, neck and back. As these areas have high blood and lymph node counts which can make tattoo removal easier. Other areas, such as arms and legs can also be removed/lighten. 2) The age of your tattoo - Older tattoos are exposed to the sun and this makes the ink fades over time. Thus making it easier to remove as compared to fresh ink. 3) The depth of the ink - When the ink penetrates into the second layer of the skin known as the dermis layer, which is protected by the epidermis (the superficial layer of the skin). The further into the dermis the ink penetrates, the harder it is for the lasers to remove. 4) The type of ink used and the method your tattoo artist used. 5) Type of colours used: Dark colours tattoo are easier to remove than lighter ones. No single laser can remove all tattoo colours. Different dyes respond to different light wavelengths as well. For example, black and dark green are the easiest colours to remove, other colours such as yellow, purple, turquoise and etc dyes are the hardest to fade. Thus, it requires different lasers with different wavelengths to remove coloured inks and a few sessions to break down these pigments. Hope this clarifies :)
Hi doctor, i got my C02 fractional laser to erase my Sebaceous hyperplasia and now i am taking Hydroquine but i want to finish soon the Pih that i got after that, which laser in general speaking you thing is better: Pico Genesis or pico Fractional?? Thank you so much
Hi, the number of sessions for tattoo removal is dependent on a couple of considerations such as the type of tattoo, the colour as well as the age of the tattoo. It is best to speak to your doctor for a more comprehensive assessment and treatment plan.
Very educational video Sir! What would be the best wave lenght for micropigmentation removal on the scalp and what are the side effects (loss od hair etc?)
I't's a difficult way to remove tatoo, ink, therefore don't ever start to add tattoo's to your body in the first place, it's a waste of work, "art", express your art intuition paint to canvas, not to your skin, you can sell canvas, you can not sell your own tatoo. else, I don't want the waste to pass thru my body system, for being released.
