    I mounted a PC in this type of Q500 L case and I'm delighted! It was worth every penny. This case, unlike the Q300 L, allows you to use ATX format MB, not just mItx or micro ATX! Positioning the source on the right side does not it's just something ingenious, but very practical because if you still don't have anything on the right side of the case (optical drives, HDD, SSD, floppy) what's the point of cramming the MB with a source regardless of whether you mount it up or down? for the first time I had the joy of being able to easily do a master wiring thanks to the special space arranged behind the panel. The special places for HDD and SSD are intelligently thought out and easy to fix/remove on the back of the panel. The ventilation is good if you mount at least 2 120mm fans in addition to the one of the case. The RGB stands out beautifully thanks to the transparent front panel; the case is small and convenient to carry on the desk and not underneath where access was difficult. Extremely satisfied, I highly recommend it.

    The rubber screws on the side instead of thumb caps are for placing the case that side down when in use. You can clearly see that's what they were thinking by where they placed the power button and front IO. That configuration makes it similar to an HTPC.

    Built my Q500L with a air cooler, modded the front, top and bottom panels open for the fans.
    Running two fans on top and two on the bottom, one at the lower front and one in the rear.
    Also modded the I / O panel to add USB - C
    Installed the Q300P front and top panels along with the 4 handle / leg extensions

      its better suited for budget smaller builds. then only way to get the most in my opinion is to get a sfx pwer supply but the price of those kill the budget value of this case.

    You just need to put a dropsy 120mm at 200W-TDP up with one section and move the power supply all the way up and then you can put a fan on the right side, well, then the video card will fit up to ~ 330mm, well, 2 fans down.

      @@DLMtechgarage air flow is excellent and while not the best fans, comes w/3: 2 molex only style and 1 that has molex and a 3 pin. The only "problem" w/it so far is the blue Power On LED died. While I was able to easily remove the circuit board with the Reset and Power buttons are and the screws I thought held the panel on that has the Red and Blue LEDs hot glued to it, I could not figure out a way to remove the panel that holds all that so I could work on replacing the blue LED. It is not a huge deal; for the time being I ended up switching my HDD power LED wires in place of where the Power LED contacts are on the mobo, since I don't use a HDD in my rig.

    I like how the case is smaller than normal atx cases. But I don't think it's worth it for the price because those acrylic panels get scratched so easily. Edit. Was wondering if a 120mm aio would fit on the rear exhaust.

    • @DLMtechgarage
      @DLMtechgarage  3 года назад

      agreed, i think the acrylic glass is what ruins this case cause of how easy it gets scratched, maybe with a glass panel the price might be better worth it and yes a 120mm aio would fit in the rear exhuast as I have done that before.

  • @shouldent
    @shouldent 2 года назад +1

    I found that the corsair AIO that you are using is very noisy in this case. Also my power supply makes a lot of noise. I have not tried to put the fan pointing inside but I would try to see if that reduces the nosie. I would like to hear if anybody else has seen the same "issue" with noise...

    • @DLMtechgarage
      @DLMtechgarage  2 года назад

      that aio is noisey compare to most. As far as the psu it depends on what your using. I find evga psu to be noisy, but the issue you can have is that the psu fan is too close to a panel or wires which creates noise.

    So grabbed one, for my old sabertooth z170 MK1 MB, I5 6500 CPU, R9 390X Gpu and a kraken X53 AIO. Im going to put 6x P12 Artic fans, which 2 of them are going on the Kraken. • @DLMtechgarage
      @DLMtechgarage  2 года назад

I'm happy with leaving it completely as is. My R9 390x is staying around that 60deg mark, but i reckon the thermal paste probably needs replacing as it is a 6-7 year GPU. So it i'm sure it would be too tall and not fit making you not able to use the side pane. now if your not worried about having a side panel on then you could do it that way.
