This show was touching. I've followed Jacques Pépin (and Julia Child) since I was young. To see him age gracefully and still look sharp & alert brings me joy. He's influenced a generation of young chefs and home cooks. I'd probably cry too if I see him in person.
Met this sweet man at the Aspen Food and Wine Festival a few years ago and he couldn't have been kinder! While all the other "celebrity" chefs were busy talking to each other, Mr. Pepin met all his fans and gave us each a wonderful memory!
Jacques Pépip used to play boules with my husband and our old friend David (RIP) a few years back. Even now, when my husband and I play boules or bocce, my husband does his (excellent) Jacques impression in a thick French accent will say " I has se poient ". We love this man. Miss seeing you at The Bee and Thistle Inn, Jacques!
I'm so emotional ... Jaques, the legend, omg, what a great surprise. Plus all the culinary heavy-hitters. Wow, Drew and Team ... you've outdone yourselves ❤
As a kid back in the 70's and 80's I used to watch Chef Jacques Pépin, Chef Martin Yan, Chef Julia Childs and so many on public television! It ensured my love of cooking and I was even a professional chef outside my film career! Merci Jacques Pépin, 90/90!!!❤
I appreciate Jacques with all my heart ❤ my whole family and I have grown up watching him. He's brought so much joy to our kitchen. He's such a treasure.
Love that Jacques Pepin is still going strong! (Despite using more than a little butter over his lifetime.😉) I remember watching his show with my dad decades ago. Young Claudine made frequent appearances, "learning" how to cook along with the rest of us. Dad couldn't believe she knew that little about cooking; I think she was doing her part in showing us that anyone can do this, anyone can learn. Several years ago, I saw a more recent show, with Jacques, grown woman Claudine, and her daughter. It was delightful to see the three generations cooking together.❤
I adore this man. Please get his book Art of the chicken. It is so much more than a cookbook. It is a book of his life and his art of the chicken. And please try his French toast recipe with ice cream. This was the second year I made it for Christmas Eve brunch and I will do it again and again. It is magnificent. It brûlées in the oven. Make a banana foster sauce with it and it is perfection!
I would have the same reaction as Drew if I had the honor to meet the legendary Jacques Pepin. He has inspired me a lot, and nourished me and my family with his recipes.
i remember this one time i felt completely stuck, like no matter what i did, life just wasn’t moving forward. i tried everything-manifestation journals, vision boards, all that stuff-but it felt like i was missing something. then i stumbled across this book, Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and it hit different. it wasn’t just about manifesting; it was about understanding the energy i was putting out into the world. honestly, it changed everything. if you’re feeling stuck too, you might want to check out this book.
so there was this period in my life when i kept attracting the wrong people, wrong opportunities, everything just felt…off. i couldn’t figure out why it kept happening. then one day, a friend mentioned a book called Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, saying it helped them see the patterns they didn’t even realize they had. i decided to give it a read, and wow, it opened my eyes to how much my own energy was shaping my life. seriously, this book is something else.
a while back, i hit a point where i felt like everything was out of my control. i kept wondering why other people seemed to get what they wanted while i was stuck in the same place. then i came across this book called Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane. i wasn’t expecting much, but the way it explains the connection between your energy and the life you create? it blew my mind. it’s not just a book, it’s like a blueprint for turning your life around.
i remember this one night i was scrolling aimlessly, feeling like i had hit rock bottom. it felt like nothing i wanted was ever going to happen for me. i don’t know why, but i clicked on this link about the book Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and something about it drew me in. the more i read, the more i felt like it was written just for me. it’s wild how much a single book can change your perspective.
He's the best chef and wonderful teacher. Non-pretentious, kind, creative. The sort of chef that looked after and cared for his employees and students instead of getting power hungry and yelling at them ( like many head chefs). Was dear friend of Julia Child.
PLEASE STOP PRETENDING you aren't going to give EVERYONE the audience prize! WE KNOW you will, so cease faking the 'this side or row will get this thing, oh you all get it!' Its very annoying. Just don't pretend its just for one group, cause we get it! Thanks!
i used to think manifesting was all about repeating affirmations and hoping for the best. i tried it for months and…nothing. i was so frustrated. then i heard about this book, Vibrations of Manifestation by Alex Lane, and how it breaks down the science and energy behind manifestation. it’s like it flipped a switch in my brain. once i started applying what i learned, things started falling into place like never before. worth checking out if you’re serious about manifesting.
Nearly 90 years of age and still as passionate as ever. May God bless Monsieur Pépin with health and Faith. Ameen.
I adore Jacques Pépin. He just does what he does, no fuss, and does it beautifully.
Dudes a legend. I've learned a lot of my skills from him

It was wonderful what he did during the Covid quarantine. His FB daily videos gave me and so many others an anchor during those troubled times.

Wish you'd have played the rest of the segment. Let the man get his plug in.

Awesome!
Drew Barrymore used to dance atop David Letterman's desk.
Have no idea whom he is, however I love me some Drew Barrymore and this was pretty touching.💜🥺💜

Until the morning of the show Drew had no idea either😅😅😮😮
Have you been living in a cave your entire life?
@ How about it’s called not everyone follows public figures or every celebrity.
@@laurawestenra Thank you kindly dear he really seems like such a warm compassionate man, very humble even also.🌙💜🌙
Drew, you should direct an audio version of Woody Allen's "Death Knocks" with Adam Sandler as the character Nat Ackerson and Steve Buscemi as Death.
I make that chicken recipe. The best
His chicken Lyon is one of 2 ways my wife likes chicken.
💗💜💙🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Drew looks like my cousin and her name is Amelia lol. Didn't know there was an Amelia Island...
👍🏼👍🏻❤️
Can't stand her...but love Chef Pepin. Eric is looking well...good to see him ❤️
Yes!! Great to see Eric as well!!
Yes. This segment is so good I can _almost_ forgive Barrymore’s “Mamala” moment. 👨🍳🇫🇷
good acting ET phone home
Jesus is she ever not crying
Certainly she knew he was going to be on her show...
BOT ALERT--book spam dropping into unrelated channels is new SCAM.
Drew does a great job pretending she was surprised he was there.
She IS a really good actress, so! 😅
PLEASE STOP PRETENDING you aren't going to give EVERYONE the audience prize! WE KNOW you will, so cease faking the 'this side or row will get this thing, oh you all get it!'
Its very annoying. Just don't pretend its just for one group, cause we get it! Thanks!

BOTs now doing book spam instead of crypto scams. Cheap and unethical to drop unrelated adverts into unconnected channels. BLOCKED.
This SPAM is out of control!
He is the light.
