No, we were very fortunate and did not have to buy land. My brother and I each built a house on the same property. To my knowledge he just had to go to a post office and update the address for the lot to start receiving mail there. I don't know much about that, sorry! Good luck with the search!

Hi there! There were no windows included, but there is an option to have them included. No loft in ours we instead had a few feet of attic crawlspace above the ceiling. Ours is a ventless propane stove, so I'm not sure if insurance would treat that differently than a real wood stove or not. We actually didn't have insurance on our portable building so I'm not sure what exactly they would require. But, I do know people have done it before. Sorry can't help more!
I believe we did about $1,300 for a down payment. If you can, I would really try to save up and buy the building outright. Or have a plan on paying the building off early. Otherwise you'll end up paying double the price of the building due to interest. Our $12,000 shell cost us over $20,000 in the end because we didn't have a plan. I did a video on renting to own, maybe check that one out!
We did rent to own ..paid off early with a tax return..yes these homes are look down upon but hey I have no mortgage
