What a wonderful man, and how well he speaks , he never hesitates when answering a question.
He speaks from the heart. My wife Rosie and I left Ireland to come to Australia to get away from this life .
My trade is a diesel mechanic ; the wage in Ireland was 15 pound a week , here in Australia I got $60 per week
Equal to 30 pound , and a better life .

well put sir, some things are best left untouched and this was one of them. this was so much more in touch with it than the remake, that seemed to be made by someone `being told` what it was like back then.

    5.3 out of 10
only gets that because it's the first hooligan film ever made, has a great actor as the main role (Gary Oldman) and the hotel scene was brilliant.
The fashion was completely wrong, the film producers made them seem more like gangsters (when yeti is walking in the hotel or how they all wear suits), the ending was really over the top with the gun.
This is why I prefer The Firm 2009 because he Nick Love remade it into a more realistic version of this film (using a knife instead of a gun and the fashion made more sense).

Tbf the firm remake is set in the early 80s when the casual movement was at its height whereas this one is set in 89 when the clobber marked you out to old bill so people changed

The Remake, was confusing and didn't flow. This scene, felt so real, the actors are excellent. Alan Clarke, is on a next level.

@SSCFPA football hooligans didnt wear suits. it wasnt a different plot it was an altered one in the view of dominic. nick love used to hang about with hooligans and wanted to sort of share his experiences on camera using dominics character

Look guys, I've been in UK attending English courses, several times. But I always skipped away from soccer . I simply don't understand hooligans/ultrà philosophy. You may support, but nothing have to do with violence. I like the movie but I don't get the violent message inside. The struggle at the hotel, I guess, is real. Even the end at the pub, when Trig throws his pint of beer at the cameraman, demonstrates what fierce violence is hidden inside him....

WTF was Nick Love thinking in 'remaking' (completely different plot) The Firm?
It had NOTHING of the acting, the power, of the original, just stole the name in the hope of reflected critical glory.
