I disagree, they are NOT pop/metal... They are good old fashioned ROCK. They mix every sub-genre of Rock into a familiar, yet fresh package. It's hard to recognize because no band has sounded like them for decades. They are bringing back TRUE rock from the days when Rock was in the top 40.
The Mona Lisa of rock songs. Simple, gorgeous and powerful tune. No wasted notes. Just arranged masterfully. I will never tire of this song! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Nice! This was done for the virtual (DE)Tour concert which was put on to raise money for small independent venues. They were pumped as they had just signed with Lava Records. Jason Flom, CEO of Lava, introduced them. They were so impressive that their performance was played twice. Lzzy Hale of Halestorm tweeted she wanted to take them on tour.

Little sister Ale, (15 here) was already a respected bass player and a Spector Bass featured artist. This is a short video from Spector, showing them delivering her new custom 5-string last October. This is part of their concept album, Queen of the Murder Scene, which tells the story of a girl who goes from love to obsession, stalking, murder, and then the battle against her evil side for her soul. By this point, the Queen (the girl) is considering suicide since her evil side is winning. The only way dull knives cut better is if pain is desired, so she is likely cutting herself.
The bass player is Ale (Alejandra). She is the youngest sister at 15 in this video. She will be 17 on Dec 13. Anyway, she does not like to but if Dany or Pau need a break Ale will even sing lead. Normally though she prefers to just do backing vocals while always moving around with her bass. In live shows I've only seen her use a 4-string or a 5-string bass but there is at least one video of a much younger Ale playing a 6-string bass with her teacher who normally plays a 6-string.

The Ramone’s comparison wasn’t offensive but Pop Rock doesn’t sit well with me. 😖
They can’t really be pigeon holed, but they’re a straight up rock band first and foremost with shades of punk and a touch of metal.
Of course I’m just giving my opinion just as you did Todd but I’ve been deep down the rabbit hole on this amazing band for several years now.

It's difficult to categorise The Warnings' actual genre .We know that it is basically rock but on some songs have strong hints of punk and metal , and thats one of the great things about this band is that they can drift off into other genres of music in the same song which can make it even more interesting . Cheers man.

If this doesn't make you a fan you may have never witnessed real Rock and Roll before.
This was actually seen by a huge crowd as part of a widely streamed charity event. As a result some fairly huge top acts expressed interest in touring with them.
Even more brilliantly executed.
I hope they get bigger than KISS ever did. Their Bassist Ale is a helluva lot cooler and their Drummer Pau (POW!) has the heart of Keith Moon yet is sane and sober and primary songwriter. Dany is Dany, distilled Liquid Fire and Rainbow Sunshine. Every thing she puts her heart and her hand to is Blessed.

I've described them as punk metal in the past, but they really are a moving target.
THAT'S WHY THE WARNING, IS THE WARNING!!!. PLAIN AND SIMPLE 3 SISTERS, THEY SOUND AS IF THEY WERE 5 OR MORE, THEY COMPOSE EXCELLENT SONGS (MUSICALLY AND LYRICALLY) THEY ARE A SPECTACLE WHEN THEY ARE ON STAGE, A CAPPELLA, IN STUDIO,
LIVE, HOWEVER YOU WANT TO PLAY THEM. THEIR SYNCHRONICITY IS PERFECT AND THEY ARE EXPERTS OF THEIR MUSICAL INSTRUMENT INCLUDING THEIR VOICES. THAT'S WHY THEY ARE THE ROCK REVOLUTIONARIES OF THE 21ST CENTURY. THEY ARE NUMBER ONE! EVEN IF THEY GIVE THE COMPETITION HIVES. VERY GOOD REACTION, HOWEVER, BE WARNED THAT THE VILLARREAL SISTERS ARE LIKE THE SONG OF THE SIRENS, THE MAN WHO LISTENS TO THEM ACQUIRES A SWEETNESS THAT WILL MAKE HIM FEEL LIKE THE MERMAIDS.
This was done in their practice studio in their basement. They play in front of a huge mirror so they react to their performance.

I describe their music as taking some classic hard rock, metal, punk, and alternative rock, throw it into a blender, add a splash of Joan Jett and Pat Benetar, and you have The Warning. 😎👍
Not to mention their own secret sauce. Joan Jett and Pat Benatar never had a second lead vocalist or three in toto.
In Martirio, I actually feel Dany touched the level of Ann Wilson in some of her vocals. She is 21 and loves to sing. Here’s to their future and the resonance and joy they’ll bring us going forward. Oh hey…we still have half of Mayday coming.

@@mt4design2 Dany's singing in Martirio is just incredible. There are a few acoustic performances of it floating around that really demonstrate her vocal power and range.

This was actually a live stream multi-band online concert performance. This performance is the one that Lizzy Hale saw and instantly asked them to tour with her group. The Warning stole the show on this concert.

Es cierto, no me gusta comparar, pero creo que se pueden escuchar sus influencias musicales como con la mayoría de las bandas. Eres corect, son su propia banda y una fuerza poderosa. Great reaction. They are so impressive in their live performances. The joy they exude and the energy they share through their love of what they do goes right into we who get to watch. If they are ever nervous you would never know. If they were feeling ill you would never know…and chances are the energy they receive back from their fans would probably cure them. Such wonderful human beings. Oh, and I’m sure Ale would love your comment that “the bassist rocks hard!”
No one ever seems to catch the drummer Pau whispering the verses underneath Dany's vocals. Best part of the song for me, other than the finale of course.
She does this because she knows that she at any time in a song can get an eye signal from Dany to take over the singing because Dany needs to get a new pic or similar.

Then again, the crowd did notice when Dany pointed at little sister Ale on that same show. A little weak in the beginning but after a while, she understands that quality isn't always better than quantity. @@TheUnderdogDe Yes, Pau does quietly mouth the vocals a lot, but not in Dull Knives. Listen to the studio track again, you can hear the whispered vocals. It was intentional for the effect.

Growing up in the 80s I fell in love with the Warning cause their style of rock brings me back to the hard rock back then and as others have said there are definitely shades of punk and metal at times but definitely a sound of their own! Dull knives is from 2018 and fans have a passion for this song. I've heard lots of labels about the band, but you shouldc see the release concert for the band's best album: Queen of the Murder Scene. Compare to the song of "MAYDAY MAYDAY " and you'll notice a big change.

yep these young ladies are extremely talented and love playing for the fans no matter where they are playing. There have a awesome understanding of music theory and what makes a great song. They are well beyond their years in song writing and talent.. but that is all the hard work they put into their craft even at their young ages. Ale was given 2 Spector bass by one of their Euopean fans and she fell in love with them right away. The one she is playing here is another one from the same fan but as you can see a 5 string, so she had to kind of relearn their songs with the new bass and she mastered it so much Spector gave her a brand new custom made 5 string that she received as they started recording the new album/EP and then Spector went one step farther and is putting out a custom 4 string bass in her name that looks similar her 5 string. anyways cool reaction thanks bud and enjoy the ride!
